Despite scientists and sceptics insisting the rare lunar event, due on September
28, will NOT signal the end of the world, there are still Biblical conspiracy t
heorists who maintain September 28's Blood Moon will trigger catastrophic global
events.
Some even claim the world is already under the influence of the so-called Blood
Moon after wild fires in California, USA, turned the moon red over the weekend.
Internet and TV pastors are using the fear sweeping the internet to encourage pe
ople to "give themselves to God" as they "only way to save themselves".

Events giving rise to the latest predictions include the worsening migration cri

d there are fears of repeats
The Blood Moon prophecy began when two Christian preachers with huge followings
in the US claimed the date of the last of four 'blood moons' over the past 18 mo
nths, due to occur at the end of September, would signal the end of the world as
we know it before the "second coming of Jesus Christ."
The fourth in the series of blood moons, which have six full moons in between, i
s set to happen on September 28.

Despite, the two evangelists, John Hagee and Mark Britz being accused of peddlin
g "false warnings" in order to cash in on books they have penned about their pre
dictions, the theory continues to sweep the online religious community, with vid
eos on YouTube going viral.
Separate conspiracists are claiming a huge asteroid will strike towards the end
of September, triggering fires and tsunamis across the globe. Nasa has assured p
eople there are no asteroids on course to hit earth for, at least the next 100 y
ears
triggering conspiracy theories of space agency cover-up.
US news reports said record heat waves on the west coast had led to droughts whi
ch have see 24 separate huge fires rage for several weeks.

ppeal to everyone to get baptised to "save themselves" while travelling to carry
out new baptisms when news of a 6.6 magnitude earthquake in Mexico broke.

He said: "Are you serious, are you serious there has been a 6.6 earthquake just hi
t in Mexico very powerful and you have to understand there were two volcanic erupt
ions, two different volcanoes, yesterday in Mexico.
"These are the birthing pains of the end times. You certainly can see the signs
everywhere.
"Folks it's time to get things right with God. You need to be saved and you need
to be baptised and you need to get into the family of God and get your names wr
itten into the Lamb's Book of Life and we have got some folks who have done that a
nd we are going to be baptising them."
Videos of the volcanoes and fires on YouTube have been accompanied by comments f
rom viewers who are concerned about what might be coming next.

Franko Hose'y said: "Two volcanoes in Mexico yesterday, one in Japan today. Very
active. Who really knows what's going on with the volcanoes at the bottom of th
e Pacific?"

cur somewhere in the world every month, so have nothing to do with the Blood Moo
n, which is unlikely to mean the end of the world.
Those supporting the prophecy argue the alignment of blood moons has only happen
ed a handful of times in the last 2,000 years, with the pastors claiming they ha
ve historically coincided with a globally significant religious event.
Mr Blitz, of El Shaddai Ministries in Washington and who wrote 'Blood Moons: Dec
oding the Imminent Heavenly Signs', claimed to find historical blood moon tetrad
s coincided with significant historical events for Israel and Jewish people.

Mr Hagee, founder and senior pastor of a "megachurch" in Cornerstone, San Antoni
o, Texas - which has more than 20,000 followers - is also claiming to have made
the discovery in his book 'Four Blood Moons'.
The book has made it onto the New York Times' bestsellers list and since been ma
de into the documentary-style movie of the same name.
Chris White, a YouTube video maker, claims to have exposed just how "out of time
" the last blood moon events actually were with the events they supposedly coinc
ided with.
He said of the 1492/1493 tetrad: "The Spanish Inquisition started in 1478 and en
ded 350 years later."
He added: "They have tried to give it credibility by saying it coincided with th
e Ohambra decree being issued on March 31 1492, when they expelled the Jews, but
the first eclipse did not occur until over a year later and the last eclipse wa
s two years later. Unless saying over a year out is God's prediction way, then t
his is not a match."

Professor Gary Shogren, a former pastor who studied the New Testament at Aberdee
n University, said: "You ll never go broke predicting the apocalypse".
