INTRODUCTION

We have are three parts in this assignment.Firstly, is the

sewing tools,in this parts it divide to three groups.First is
measuring devices,we use the tape measure,curve
ruler,straight ruler and L-square.Second is marking
devices,for example we use the tailor chalk wedges.Thirds is
shears and scissors,we use bent-handle dressmaker
shears.Secondly,is thesewing supplies,inthis parts it divide to
thread have twentieth.Thread mean for constructing a
garment should be compatible with the fiber content and
weight of the fabric.Interaction is best, where it is feasible,
between thread and fabric of like sources-both synthetic, say
or both derived from animal or plant sources.for example of
thread basting it used for cotton:A loosely twisted thread
used for hand basting.Available only in white-safest because
there is no dye to off on fabric.Thread button and carpet is
cotton :cotton-wrapped rubberfor though,thick thread(size
16)used for hand-sewing jobs requiring super thread
strength.the thread it general purpose it used for machine
and hand sewing on light and medium-weight cottons,rayons
and linens.sewing supplies tools it have straight pins and pin
heads.metals of which straight pins are made have brass it
soft metal,does not rust;usually nickel-plated retains sharp
point for a long time, steel it sturdy metal;can rust usually
nickel-plated least expensive can be picked up magnetically,
and stainless steel it strong metal does not rust can also be
picked up magnetically.Many type of needles are made for
hand sewing,each for a specific purpose. These vary
according to eye shape, length,and point (sharp,blunt,ball-
poimt,or wedge).General hand sewing this group of hand
needles is used for general-purpose sewing. For example this
general hand sewing it are sharps,betweens,and ball-
points.This group of hand needles is used primarily for a
variety of art and needlecraft purpose such as embroidery,
needlepoint ,and decorative beading.For example cotton
darners ,double longs yarn darners. Heavy-duty sewing it are
glovers,sailmakers and curved needles.Machine needles are
selected according to weight and other fabric
characteristics,as well as the thread type being used. For
example type of machine needles regular sharp needle,ball-
point needle and wedge-point needle. Sewing aids made for
home use some such as bobbins, self-stick sewing
tape,double-faced tape,beeswax ,needle threader , thimble,
pin cushion,seam ripper,an awl or stiletto, pointer and
creaser ,bodkin, loop turner. Zippers is three type it is
conventional zipper, invisible and separating zipper. Button
buying involves both decorative and practical. Snaps are two
parts it are socket ans ball.Hook and eye fasteners come with
either straight eyes for meeting edges.Covered snaps are
regular snaps.Covered hook and eye setsare usually large
and suitable for coats,jackets,or garments, and it many no-

eye tape.Eyelets are round metal reinforcement for holes that
are made in belts and laced clousures.Nylon tape fastener is

construction it are hem facing,twill tape,grosgrain
ribbon,fold-over braid,horsehair braid,cable cord ,
cordingribbings, waistband stiffenings .Elastics have three
type brainded,woven,and knitted.Third,sewing machine
introduction with so much emphasis on the differences
between sewing machine types and brands,it is natural to
forget how basically similar all sewing machines are.All of
operating parts labelled on the machine that will do both
straight and zigzag sitching.Needle sizes and types it are a
sharp-point needle,a ball-point needle and a wedge-point
