ASSUMTIONS
Linguistics
Ss will be capable of recognizing collocations even though they might not
know how to define them. However, they will have most certainly come across highfrequency collocations with take and make since they are very common.
If pointed out to them they will recognize word patterns and sense that those
expressions are fixed and relate to the specific verbs.
They will be actively involved in the discovery of patterns via doing a variety
of activities appropriate to their level and interests. The texts chosen are created for
the classroom needs , and even though a bit artificial are suitable for the needs of
the students and I am hoping that apart from few words/ phrases they wont
struggle but will be focused on the target language and its functions.
Management:
Students are at comfort and are used to doing a variety of activities collaboratively,
in pairs and groups.
The groups is of mixed abilities, but in pairs they will be able to carry out the work
successfully
