Introduction
Algebra has a big role in our life specially when you are in Architecture. In architectural
designing and planning, you will encounter a problem like identifying the measurement of a
structure. The calculations used in the actual creation of the structure are dependent on basic
algebra; but long before construction can begin, more sophisticated mathematical formulas are
developed to design a building that meets strict safety guidelines. Algebra introduces different
methods to solve an equation. In this application, we will use Quadratic Equation for a problems
like getting the dimensions of the room from its area and we will also apply the application
involving the Pythagorean theorem. In the application of finding the surface area of a triangular
prism, in a surface area of a three-dimensional shape can be intimidating if you've never done it
before, but the formulas for many of these shapes are fairly straight forward. When finding the
surface area of a triangular prism, you simply need to calculate the area of each side and add the
values together. If you still aren't sure about how to do it, though, keep reading for a step-by-step
explanation. That is how Algebra works! But before we use Algebra, we should find information
about these kinds of relationships. It is important to first cover some basic terminologies. Like
the application involving similar triangles. Through the knowledge of Algebra it is easy for us to
know its application in our daily life.
In short, Algebra is the key to opportunity. These are the years of small beginnings until
the day comes that you have to be able to do something as intricate as algebra. Algebra is the key
that will unlock the door before you. Having the ability to do algebra will help you excel into the
field that you want to specialize in. We live in a world where only the best succeed.
Procedure
Problem No.1: Dimension
A living room of a bungalow house is 4 feet longer than its wide. To find the dimensions of the
room, x will represents the length of the room.
x2 = 169
To sum up, each side of the room is 12 feet long. Although the equation x2 = 169 has two
solutions, x = 13 and x = -13, the negative solution
Dimensions = ?
To determine the height of the structure, well measure the shadow cast by the structure .
Then we measure the shadow cast by a four-foot post and find it to be 6 inches long, if
the example was in 142 feet long.
