Head & Tails
Before class, make one copy of the worksheet for every three students in the class.
Procedure
Organise the class into teams of three.
Tell them they are going to compete in finding appropriate heads for incomplete present
simple passive sentences.
Give out the incomplete sentence worksheet.
Set a time limit.
Tell them to complete the sentences with the answers they think are correct.
When time is up, ask the teams to swap their worksheet with another team for marking.
Go through the answers and write the scores up on the board.
Then repeat the process with sentence tails. Sentence tails are incomplete passive
sentences in the past, present and future.
The winner is the team with the most correct answers.
