INSTRUCTIONS for LOMBOK POST-CONFERENCE PUBLICATIONS

There are 2 Publication Options

1. All papers submitted to the Tropical Tourism Outlook Conference in Lombok, Indonesia will be considered for
inclusion in the Post-Conference Proceedings Book, to be published by Springer (Singapore). To be accepted for
the Springer Proceedings Book, you must do each of the steps below by the due date indicated.
a. One exception to this is "proposal papers." Some of the papers presented at the conference were based
on research proposals. These papers will not be considered for the Springer book. Only papers based on
completed research will be acceptable.
2. Alternatively, you may submit your paper or presentation file for publication in the IGU Tourism Commissions
open access annual proceedings publication, Tourism, Leisure and Global Change. Requirements for that
submission are also listed below. Research proposal papers may be submitted to TLGC.

(Option 1) To make your paper acceptable for the Springer Proceedings Book, you must take
the following steps:
1. The Contact Author must complete, sign and return the Lombok Springer Consent to Publish form, which you
can download from the conference website (links below).
a. This form is due: 10 September 2015
b. Submit this form using the Online Submission Form on the Conference Website:
i. http://www.igutourism.org/submit-l15.html - Password: lombok
ii. You can also get to this page from the conference Abstract page:
http://www.igutourism.org/abstracts-l15.html
2. Your paper must conform to the following Format Guidelines
a. Use the new FULL PAPER TEMPLATE on the conference website for any changes that you make
i. This template is very similar to the template available online prior to the conference. The main
difference is that the title now needs to be lower case. Also, each authors surname/family
name needs to be underlined.
b. Number of Words:The Maximum Number of Words allowed is 4500. This includes the Abstract, Text,
Tables, Figures and References.
i. This relatively small number is due to the large number of potential papers that we may need to
include in the book. If there are fewer papers, we might be able to allow slightly longer
submissions. We will not know this until after we get all of the Consent to Publish forms in the
middle of September.
c. Figures and Tables:If you use a figure/graphic or table that has already been published elsewhere, or is
otherwise copyrighted or owned by someone else (including most images that you find online, such as
Google Maps), you will need to get permission from the owner/copyright holder to use it in your
chapter.
i. The editors strongly recommend that you remove any figure or table that you did not produce
yourself. This include figures or tables that you re-formatted from the original version.
ii. If you are uncertain whether you need to obtain copyright permissions, read the Springer
Permissions Guidelines at: http://www.igutourism.org/submit-l15.html - Password: lombok
iii. To obtain permissions, you must use the Lombok Permissions Form, provided by Springer, on
the same website.

3. The paper must meet international standards for academic English. You are required to submit your paperto a
recognized English grammar editing service that specializes in academic writing.
a. You may use any recognized service, including those available online, through your university, or locally
in your country. The service must include a real person who reviews your paper; automatic computer
grammar checkers are not acceptable. You are fully responsible for any costs required for this service.
b. When you submit your edited paper, you must include a certificate or formal letter from the editing
service indicating that they had completed the work.
c. If you feel that your English grammar already meets the standard for international academic publishing,
then please contact the editors to request a waiver of this requirement. Send your email request to all
four of the books editors:
Akhmad Saufi akh.saufi72@gmail.com
Ima Andilolo imanuelita@gmail.com

graphics that you used in your presentation that you did not personally create.
