SPECIFICATIONS

1)

WORKOVER RIG

Self propelled Model IRI-IDECO Model H-44-CD, 750 HP externally propelled mobile
workover / servicing rig. The Rig shall be having a hook load capacity 120 MT. The rig
shall be equipped with
a) Hydraulically operated telescopic mast (in accordance with 4F with API monogram) of
IRI-IDECO, Model 108-268 with the height of 108 feet from the ground level, to safely
handle tubulars of Range II in doubles. The mast shall conform to API 4E/ 4F specifications.
b)

Safety device (floor-o-matic ) in proper working condition shall be available.

c) Automatic locking system shall be provided with additional safety manual lock. This is
required after telescoping of mast to full height.
d) The mast shall be designed to withstand wind speed of minimum 60 knots as per
Clause 6.2.3 0f API 4F with full pipe/ setback with all guy ropes properly placed as per
standard API pattern.
e) Draw works Make & Model IRI-IDECO H-44-CD with suitable rating for handling
100MT hook load capacity, equipped with suitable auxiliary hydromatic brake for safe
running in of the string. The Draw works shall have sufficient range of forward speed and
one reverse speed.
h) 02 Nos. Derrick Engines (Detroit Diesel 8V-71, 305 HP each) and transmission system
suitable for above draw works. The total capacity of Derrick Engines is 610 HP.
i) Hook and tackle system of IDECO make, Shorty-160 of 160 Tonnes, suspended load
capacity and capable to operate 2-3/8 to 3-1/2 tubing and 2-7/8 to 3-1/2 drill pipes upto
the required depth.
j) Handling / Racking arrangement for 2-7/8 4500 meters Drill pipes in doubles with
suitable finger board to stack.
2)

SUB STRUCTURE (NEW, Beekay Engineering Make)

The sub structure shall be rated to 230MT, confirming API 4E/ 4F standards. The structure
shall have sufficient clear height below rotary beam to accommodate 3 stack BOP (one
Double Ram + one Annular) with riser nipple in workover mode.
3)

ROTARY EQUIPMENT

Standard Rotary table with 17-1/2 opening in accordance with API 7 K with static load
capacity of 295 MT, (IRI-IDECO Make, Model : SR-175) and complete with master
bushings, drive bushing, drive chain or other suitable mode shaft and provision for reverse
rotation for back off.
4)

KELLY

Approximately 40 feet Square / hexagonal Kelly 3 size as per API 7 suitable for working
upto 5000 psi working pressure with required connections along-with saver subs. Upper and
lower Kelly cock of suitable size shall also be available.(Make: SMFI)
5)

SWIVEL

a) Swivel with static load capacity of 200 MT (Continental Emsco Make, Model: LB- 200
T) and rotating capacity of 135 MT.
b) Shall have proper quick change goose neck assembly with working pressure of 5000 psi.
6)

HYDRAULIC WINCH

The Rig shall be provided with minimum 1 no. of hydraulic winch with catline for handling
tubulars having pulling capacity not less than 3MT.
7)

MUD SYSTEM

7.1)

MUD PUMP

(a) Gardner Denver Make, Model: TGH-400, Positive displacement Pump driven by 305
HP, 8V-71 Detroit Diesel engine, suitable independent Diesel engine, with Centrifugal
supercharging pump, having pulsation dampner, safety relief valve, pressure gauge etc.
(b) Capacity of Pump.
Discharge
Minimum 12 M3 / hr. at 5000 psi.
Minimum 52 M3 / hr. at 2000 psi.
7.2)

DISCHARGE SYSTEM
a) Suitable discharge manifold consisting of minimum 4 gate valves of best engineering
design for well servicing jobs. The working pressure of valves shall not be less than
5000 psi.
b) Rotary hose 3X min 60 feet shall be as per API 7 standards having working
pressure of 5000 psi with suitable connections.
c) Suitable end connections of suction line and delivery manifold shall be provided.

d) Stand pipe of suitable size and pressure rating along with pressure gauge mounted on
the rig.
7.3)

MUD / WORK OVER FLUID STORAGE / HANDLING ARRANGEMENT

i) Tanks having total storage capacity not less than 80 cubic meter with permanent
level markings from bottom.
ii) Arrangement for brine/mud preparation, mud mixing, mud agitators / bottom gun jets
of best engineering design.
iii) Proper facility for transfer of working fluid / mud from tankers into tank and tank to
tank along with pumping system.
iv) Necessary system lines.
v) One no. 8 m3 capacity tank for chemical mixing shall be provided.
vi) Calibrated mud hopper with butterfly valve shall be provided with gunning
arrangement.
vii) Suitable sized hopper with 2 hammer union at the end to be provided.
viii) One trip tank of approximately 8 m3 with suitable connections and valves shall be
available. It shall be equipped with sufficient capacity of centrifugal transfer pump &
motor suitable for hazardous area. Suitable system with alarms for monitoring
gain/loss of well fluid at drillers console shall also be available.
ix) Skid mounted / portable filtration unit for brine to get the out let brine solution of 5
micron quality at flow rate 40M3/hr at working pressure 10Kg/cm2 after fine filter
with suitable motor for hazardous area as per OMR.

8) FUEL STORAGE
20 M3 Fuel Tank with fuel transfer pump.
9)

WATER STORAGE

Tank with storage Capacity of 40 m3 equipped with transfer pump of suitable capacity with
necessary hook up lines/ system.

10)

WELL CONTROL EQUIPMENT

The following well control equipment shall be required:

Hydraulically operated Shaffer make, Model LWS, one double ram type
Blow Out Preventor of 7-1/16X15000 PSI having one set of blind rams and
one set pipe rams to handle size 3-1/2, 2 7/8, and 2-3/8.
a) Hydraulically operated Hydril make, Model GK one annular Blow Out
Preventor of 7-1/16X5000 PSI.
b) One BOP control unit of Koomey make, reputed make, 3000 psi working
pressure, hydraulically operated with sufficient fluid capacity including
remote control arrangement. Unit shall have two charging systems i.e.
Pneumatic and electric with auto start and stop facility. Flame proof DGMS
approved motor shall be used.
c) One set of Sucker Rod BOP to handle 5/8 to 1-1/4 sucker Rods / polished
rods along with necessary change over flanges of minimum 1500 psi working
pressure.
d) Plug valves, FOSV of 5000 PSI having necessary connections for 2-3/8, 27/8 & 3-1/2 NU /EUE tubings/ Drill pipes to be provided.
11)

Choke and Kill Manifold

Choke & kill manifold as per API of minimum 5000 psi WP along with sufficient
quantity of flexible steel piping of minimum 5000 psi WP size 2 and 3 fitted with
NRV in kill lines. It shall be a suitable combination of valves having provision to
flow the well through fixed choke, variable choke and one bypass also. The
provision shall also be available to kill the well through kill line as well as one
additional line for making connection through cementing / pumping unit.

tubings & 5/8 thru 1 sucker rods with replaceable jaws minimum torque rating
8000 ft lbs along with sufficient spares.

e)

Heavy duty Tong. (Qty-02) (Varco BJ or BVM Corporation make Model: Type
C )
Range 2-3/8 to 4-1/2, and to handle all fishing tools and milling tools as per
relevant API, torque rating minimum 35000 ft-lbs with hanger arrangement along
with sufficient spares.

f)

Handling Tools for Sucker Rods and Polished Rods

Tongs & elevators for handling 5/8, 3/4", 7/8, 1, 1-1/8, 1-1/4 & 1-1/2 sucker
rods and polished rods.

13)

Cross Over Subs

Bit subs, cross over subs and all necessary subs to handle work with 2-3/8, 2-7/8 &
3- tubing and drill pipe string or their combinations.
