Todays story about human most important part of life is cloth. This important part will stay end
of the universe. Lets start the story with journey of.
Clothing
Clothing in history, showing (from top) Egyptians, Ancient
Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Franks, and 13th- through 15thcentury Europeans.
First recorded use
Knowledge of the origin of clothing remains inferential,

since clothing materials deteriorate quickly compared to
stone, bone, shell and metal artifacts, but some information
has been inferred by studying lice. The body louse
specifically lives in human clothing and when it diverged
from head lice it can be inferred that clothing existed at that
time. One study estimated that this happened between
83,000 to 170,000 years ago, another estimates between
65,000 and 149,000 years ago.
Archeologists have identified very early sewing needles
made of bone and ivory which were found near Kostyonki,
Russia in 1988 and are dated to about 30,000 BC.Dyedflax fibers that could have been used in
clothing have been found in a prehistoric cave in the Republic of Georgia that date back to
36,000 BP.
Making clothing
Making fabric by hand is a tedious and labor-intensive process. The textile industry was the first
to be mechanized with the powered loom during the Industrial Revolution.
Different cultures have evolved various ways of creating clothes out of cloth. One approach
simply involves draping the cloth. Examples of garments consisting of rectangles of cloth
wrapped to fit include the dhoti for men and the sari for women in the Indian subcontinent, the
Scottish kilt and the Javanesesarong. The clothes may simply be tied up, as is the case of the first
two garments; or pins or belts are used to hold the garments in place, as in the case of the latter
two. The cloth remains uncut, and people of various sizes or the same person at different sizes
can wear the garment.
Another approach involves cutting and sewing the cloth, but using every bit of the cloth
rectangle in constructing the clothing. The tailor may cut triangular pieces from one corner of the
cloth, and then add them elsewhere as gussets. Traditional European patterns for men's shirts and
women's chemises take this approach.

First designed to be used in the military and then taken up by civilians, chino fabric was originally made
to be simple, hard-wearing and comfortable for soldiers to wear; the use of natural earth-tone colors also
began the move towards camouflage, instead of the brightly colored tunics used prior.

world's
oldest preserved garment,

is
a
"highly
sophisticated" linen shirt from a First Dynasty Egyptian tomb
at Tarkan, c. 3000 BC: "the
shoulders and sleeves have been finely pleated to give formfitting
trimness
while
allowing the wearer room to move. The small fringe formed during weaving along one edge of the cloth
has been placed by the designer to decorate the neck opening and side seam."
The shirt was an item of men's underwear until the twentieth century. Although the woman's chemise was
a closely related garment to the man's, it is the man's garment that became the modern shirt.
Trousers (Long Pants)

There is some evidence, from figurative art, of trousers being worn in the Upper
Paleolithic, as seen on the figurines found at the Siberian sites of Mal'ta and Buret'.The oldest known
trousers are found at the Yanghai cemetery in Turpan, Xinjiang, China, dated to the period between the
13th and the 10th century BC. Made of wool, the trousers had straight legs and wide crotches, and were
likely made for horseback riding.
Jeans

In 1850's a 21-year-old boy, Levi Strauss, arrived in San Francisco, USA, he was from Bavaria,
Europe, to try his luck in America, he did not realize that he is beginning to create a history that
became America's greatest contribution to world fashion until now.
Those, who consider themselves followers of fashion, had no interest in jeans. Then evolve over
jeans as a shirt for blue-collar workers in America. Jeans are even identical with the work of the
cowboy outfit while herding their cattle from their horses.
Before taking denim designer, from the wardrobe of the working class and make it sparkle as a
product designer, the designer has first to take the style of dress of particular groups such as the
punk community, the community of surfers, community of gothic style, and so forth.
T-shirt, Polo shirt, A-shirt
T-shirts, made of a light, inexpensive fabric, were easy to clean. The earliest T-shirt dates back to
sometime between the SpanishAmerican War and 1913, when the U.S. Navy began issuing
them as undergarments.
Current versions are available in many different designs and fabrics, and styles include crewneck and V-neck shirts.
Boxer shorts

In 1925, Jacob Golomb, founder of Everlast, designed elastic-waist trunks to replace the leatherbelted trunks then worn by boxers. These trunks, now known as "boxer trunks", immediately
became famous, but were later eclipsed by the popular Jockey-style briefs beginning in the late
1930s. Around 1947, boxer shorts started to gain in popularity againThe two styles, briefs and
boxer shorts, had varying ratios of sales for the following forty years, with strong regional and
generational preferences.
In more recent decades, boxer shorts got a fashion boost in 1985 when English model and
musician Nick Kamen stripped to white boxers in a 1950s style "Launderette" in a Levi's
commercial. Since the 1990s, some men also opt for boxer briefs as a compromise between the
two.
