Interfaith Ministries) as
Chaplain at the Airport

So much is happening in the ministry at YYC! The biggest news for

our ministry is our Chapel Manager resigned. Cathie has worked for us
for two years now, and feels God is leading her somewhere else. This
is a huge matter of prayer for us as we try to find the right person for
the job. I have been working on developing our Crisis Care Team in
case of an air disaster and recently took PFA Psychological First Aid
Course, then last Saturday taught it for a group of CERT volunteers
(Community Emergency Response Team). For people in our church
who would like to connect with the community visit the www.certla.com page for some great resources and free training. To get involved
locally give me a call.
I was standing in the line up to Tim Hortons Coffee the other day, and
I noticed a girl who was with Air Canada standing behind me. I turned
around and asked her how her day was going, and she said good, then
asked me what I do here at the airport? I introduced myself and said I
pray for people and help everyone I can. She informed me that she was
from Syria and she was concerned for the wellbeing of her parents.
Then she mentioned that at one time there were 25 million Christians in
that country and today there is less than 5 million. 18 million have left
and many have been murdered. In tears she asked me to pray for Syria
and her parents. WOW all this in a coffee line up. She told me she
would come visit me in the chapel and let me know what is happening.
We praise the Lord for His faithfulness and continue to ask God for
strength and wisdom to touch lives in kingdom ministry through divine
appointments.
