Sales Manager Safety Central and South America


COMPANY
The Company is a leading international company in the fields of medical
and safety technology. It is present in over 180 countries around the
globe. The Group maintains sales and service organizations in over 42
countries. Its development and production facilities are based in Europe,
Asia, North & South America.
POSITION
Sales Manager Central and South America - Safety Division reports
functionally and administratively to President of the region, and will
report to him directly the Area Sales Manager Safety Central America
and indirectly the 8 sales manager of each subsidiary with their sales
team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The executive will have P&L responsibility for the assigned market
segment (Safety); will be managing the sales of safety equipment in a
key market, including the management of key customers, agents and
partner specialist distributors.
The incumbent in this role will be expected to work under their own
direction towards defined key goals including turnover, standard margin,
new product growth and key territory growth
In more specific terms will be responsible for the following functions:

Maximize the sales development through business plan and


develop and implement sales strategies that enable the company
to achieve its corporate objectives.
Contribute to the development of the companys corporate
strategy, particularly in relation to sales objectives.
Develop and implement all necessary procedures and processes to
ensure that the sales function operates efficiently and effectively
and achieves its objectives
Control Central and South America sales staff to ensure that they
are appropriately motivated and trained to meet all sales targets

and that they carry out their responsibilities in accordance with


the required standards.
Monitor the performance of the sales function and take remedial
action where necessary to ensure that sales targets are met
Develop and control the budget for the sales function to ensure
that all financial targets are met and that all necessary financial
controls are in place to comply with company and regulatory
requirements
Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and other
relevant bodies to ensure that the companys maximum sales
potential is realized
Monitor the sales performance of competitors to ensure that the
company maintains and develops its competitive position
Develop and implement a customer service strategy which
provides short and long-term customer satisfaction and meets
corporate objectives
Maximize revenue from services through service business plan.
Organize order generation and service execution process in terms
of resource, volume, quality, KPIs and planning together with
country sales Managers
Deploy the global CRM strategy and maintain the local CRM
processes in order to ensure an optimal utilization of the system
and a high level of data quality
Develop and implement regional Sales Channel strategies in
accordance with regional and global strategies maximizing market
coverage and sales efficiency.
Manage Sales Funnel (Opportunities)

Marketing Communications and Brand

Guarantee and improve the brand equity and brand image


Maintain information about market trends and competitor
intelligence for all products, market segments and customer areas.
Translate market trends into actions in alignment with the overall
strategy
Maximize marketing strategy through marketing plan
Participate in exhibitions, congresses and ensure opinion leader
management / communication

LOCATION
The position is based in Panama and will travel along the region and to
the Headquarter approximately 70% of the time.

LANGUAGES
Must be fluent Spanish and intermediate/ advanced level of English is
required. German language is desirable.

EDUCATION
Degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineer (bachelor or masters level) is
required or equivalent experience in similar industry in the commercial
field.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE OR BACKGROUND
The executive should have at least 10 years of experience, preferably
working for multinational companies, in Safety Industry, Explosion
protected electrical equipment, Fire or system integrator companies.
With 5 years of experience in a senior sales position (Senior Sales
Manager), gained in an international company with multiple sales
channels.
THE EXECUTIVE
The executive should have strong customer orientation in combination
with a proven track-record in sales management. Must be oriented
numerical data analysis and strategic thinking. He must demonstrate
adaptability, flexibility, availability. Able to take decisions independently
and capable of informing his supervisor or open to receive inputs from
others; deal with ambiguity of start-up, as well as ability to work on open
offices culture and being responsible for his own documents
management.
