What is the
10/40 window?

Between 10 and 40 degrees north of the equator lies a vast region that
includes most of Asia, Indonesia, the Middle East, and Saharan and
Northern Africa.

95% of the

region has never

heard the gospel

Although it is only one-third of the worlds land, it is estimated that

two-thirds of the worlds population is now living in this 10/40 Window.
According to recent research, this land mass holds the least evangelized
countries and therefore the highest amount of unreached people. In
addition, over 90% of the worlds most poverty-stricken people live
in the 10/40 window, and face the most opposition through rampant
diseases like AIDS, as well as suffer greatly from abuse, illiteracy, and
most importantly, spiritual darkness.
Historically, it has been referred to as The Resistant Belt as it holds
the highest concentration of people in the world who are Muslim,
Hindu, and Buddhist. However, it has also been called a Window of
Opportunity, which is a fitting way of viewing it for the work of FEBC.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
The reality is that 95% of the people in the 10/40 Window have never heard
the Gospel. This clearly makes the region a prime target for the work of FEBC.
We see that the need is great, and thus we know that the power of the Gospel
must go forth, and we must boldly reach the unreached.

2/3 of the worlds

population lives in
the 10/40 Window

This Window of Opportunity has literally thousands of different languages

and dialects, of course creating a challenge in reaching every tribe, community,
and ethnic group. FEBCs radio broadcasting of the Gospel into native
languages has proven to be extremely beneficial in reaching those who are
seemingly lost and forgotten, but millions are still waiting to hear the
message of Christ for the first time.

WHAT CAN I DO?

Therefore go and make

disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the
name of the Father and of
the Son and of the Holy
Spirit (Matthew 28:19)

In Matthew 28:19, Jesus directly commands us to go forth and make disciples

of all nations. Our prayer is that Christians around the world would turn their
hearts, prayers, and efforts toward the 10/40 window, fulfilling the call Jesus
makes.
Because FEBC works diligently to reach those in remote places, we continue
in our mission to develop media programming in specific ways that can be
delivered to listeners throughout the world, sharing the Good News of Christ
and bringing His light into the darkness.
