Reaction Paper on Heneral Luna (movie)

1. Historical Accuracy
- I think that the film was historically accurate because the film
thoroughly researched and was based on facts. Though to some the
film may be an assumption and an exaggeration, I think that this is
historically accurate because it was based on facts. They used
books, and articles by other people. Based on their study guide, the
information they based the film on were dated from 1998-2008.
2. Acting in relation to the scene and setting
- I think that their acting was appropriate. I really enjoyed the film
because the characters were really able to play their characters
well. I dont recall any scenes in which an actors/actress acting
was in appropriate for the scene. But, even so, the war scenes were
awesome. I was feeling the chills down my arms and my spine
while watching the movie because of the awesomeness of the film

and of the actors. All in all, all acting were appropriate to their
characterization and scenes.
3. Dialogue
- Even though there was an abundance in curse words, I think that
these words were appropriate enough for the characters to speak of
them. Since the personality of some characters were a bit barbaric,
especially that of Heneral Antonio Luna, I would not be surprised
that they would curse often. In relation to the characterization of
other characters, which was a bit informal, I think that cursing is
appropriate. Their dialogues were epic and deep. Especially their
hugots. Some of my favorites include Ang kalaban ng kalaban ay
kaibigan. Ang taong may damdamin ay hindi alipin. Paano ako
lalaban? Kakagatin ko sila? Nasubukan mo na bang hulihin ang
hangin? Kung gusto mo ako ipakulong, magdala ka nang
kabaong. Ingles-inglesin mo ko sa bayan ko?! P******.
4. Conclusion about the message of the movie
- First of all, its better to die fighting for the freedom of your country
than fighting for your own desire. I think that this movie has taught
me that there are still a lot of things about history that we should

learn. I just hope that there will be more movies like this. So that I
could learn more history.
5. Movie Rating 9/10
- The movie was awesome. I really enjoyed watching it. The
cinematography was great, the acting was perfect, the vfx and sfx
were astonishing. I could not say anything else but Great Film!!!
Thats all I could say. Though Im not the best movie critic there is,
Im giving it nine because of the abundance of curse words and the
fact that it still isnt clear. Was Aguinaldo really the one behind the
death of Bonifacio, Luna and his men?
