ESTABLISHING SERVICES FOR EXPORT BUSINESS

1. Due to increasing share of service sector, in National Economy, over the


years, certain Exports were incorporated in the EXIM policy of 2002-2007.
2. Share of Services is around 55% of GDP.
3. The increasing Growth of Service Sector in National and World Economy
has resulted in bringing this Service Sectors under GATT.
4. Services amounting 161 tradeable Services are covered under WTO i.e.
GATS.
5. List of 161 services are categorized in 11 sectors and sub-sectors. They are :

Benefits to Services Providers:
1.

The services providers will be entitled to all the facilities


mentioned in Foreign Trade Policy.

2.

Service providers who have reached the stipulated earnings in


foreign exchange will be recognized as service Export House,
International Service Export House, International State Service , Export
House, International Super Star Service Export House.

3.

All the provisions applicable to Export of goods will apply


mutatis mutandi to Export of Services, unless otherwise specified.

4.

Service providers are required to register themselves with


federation of Indian Exporters Organization.

5.

Hardware, Exporters skill register themselves with electronic and


Software-Promotion Council
