Applicants are eligible for admission to
University and Career/Technical programs
if they meet at least one of the following
conditions:
Graduation from a BC secondary
school, or equivalent, with a minimum
C grade in English 12 (for English 12
equivalencies see page 12 or visit
viu.ca/calendar/equivalencies);
Previous degree from a recognized
university;
Visiting student from a college or
university (a Letter of Permission
from the home institution is required);
Transfer student from a college or
university (at least 24 transferable
university-level credits completed);

Canadians and Permanent Residents
As a general guideline, tuition for a full
course load of 10 University Studies classes
(one academic year = 30 credits) is $4,015
($4,818 for Science, 36 credits). For Trades
and Applied Technology programs, tuition
is $401 per month. Prospective students
pay a $37.10, non-refundable application
fee. Upon admission, a $200 tuition
deposit is required and students will be
informed of the due date for the balance
of tuition and applicable fees.
University Studies and Career/Technical
program tuition fees are due two weeks
after the start of the semester. For Trades
and Applied Technology programs, fees
are due in full before commencement of
the program.
