This resource is designed to allow your family to have time in Gods Word
BEFORE your children attend church. Because Gods plan is for parents to be
the primary spiritual nurturers of their childrens faith, we want YOU to be the
one to introduce this part of The Big God Story to them.

DID YOU KNOW?

Moses story began when he was born in Egypt, four hundred years
and many generations after Josephs family had settled there.
After Moses left Egypt, God used a burning bush in the desert to get
his attention and call him back to the place where his people continued to
live in slavery.
God used Moses to free the Hebrew people from slavery and, ultimately,
lead them to the Promised Land.

GOD IS BIGGER (Part 2)

(Exodus of the People)
Ex. 34:17; 14:1915:21
God protected Moses as a Hebrew baby. When
Moses was older, God led him to return to Egypt and
lead His people out of slavery.

JUST FOR FUN

Ask your children to show you the biggest thing they can find in your
home. Then ask them, How big do you think God is? Is there anything
He cant do? Share with your children that there was a man in the Bible
named Moses. God used Moses in some really big ways. Then read
Exodus 4:114.

REMEMBER VERSE
For the Mighty One has done great things for meholy is his name.
Luke 1:49

TEACHABLE MOMENTS
After reading Scripture, discuss the following together:
How do you think Moses felt when God spoke to him through the burning bush?
How did God show Moses He is bigger than anything he was facing?
Do you believe God is bigger than anything you might face?

BLESSING

DEVELOPMENT

For more information about blessing your child see the Blessing section in
HomeFront: A Spiritual Parenting Resource.

Your child thinks literally. When introducing abstract concepts such

as God is bigger, use a variety of teaching methods and examples
he can connect with in order to avoid confusion. Be sure to ask
questions to make sure he grasps the concepts youre explaining.

A blessing to pray over your child:

(Insert name of the child), may you always know that God is bigger than
every fear you face and that He is always with you.
