Security
Over the past two months there have been two
attempted break-ins. The most recent occurred on 3
October where there was an attempt to force entry
to the doors at 5a to 7c. This highlights the need to
be extra vigilant and ensure that the entry doors are
kept closed at all times.
Join Our Neighbourhood Watch Scheme
The Neighbourhood Watch Scheme is a partnership
involving the police and local authority where people
come together to make their communities safer.
By setting up one of these schemes we can help to
protect ourselves and our properties by means of
improved security, greater vigilance and accurate
reporting of suspicious incidents to the police.
We have invited the Police
Community Support officer
(PCSO) Patricia Holmes, to
attend one of our meetings
to give us advice and
guidance on
Neighbourhood Watch and
security. Patricia has been
honoured for her services to community policing
and has a lot of experience in this area.
Repairs Update
Since forming the association we have made some
good progress in getting Enfield Council to carry out
some long standing essential repairs, most notably
the clearing and repair of the guttering.
As you know, there are a number of repairs which
have been outstanding for some time. RRRA is
seeking to build a partnership with the Council to
see how we move these issues forward in light of the
fact that the building is part of a major
refurbishment programme of works in the near
future.
