Carpe Diem is a unique opportunity for bright minds from select B-Schools to work with HUL on a
live project and get a chance to be a summer intern under the prestigious Unilever Leaders
Internship Programme (ULIP). And all this by means of an interesting case study competition! As
the name suggests, if you believe you have that fire in your belly to take control of the present
and convert a problem into an opportunity, Carpe Diem gives you just that platform to prove your
mettle. All you have to do is crack a case solution to a live Marketing problem. By doing this, you
get to work with a Brand Manager in HUL on a LIVE marketing project and take away rich
learning and insights that the magical world of FMCG has to offer. Not just this, you also hold a
chance to be a summer intern at HUL in ULIP 2016, based in one of Unilevers several offices
across the globe and manage live projects that have a direct and huge impact on the business.

This case study competition is open to all first year students interested in Marketing from the
following institutes:

Participation process
The contest will span across one month and will take place in the following phases:
A. Case Study and Registration
C. Semi Finals
The names of the 12 shortlisted participants will be shared with the institutes placement team
and on www.facebook.com/unileverdiariesindia
The 12 shortlisted participants from each institute will be required to constitute 4 teams of 3
members internally by themselves and submit a detailed presentation of their case solution to
HUL. The email address will be notified to the teams.
Deliverables at the end of this phase: A detailed power point presentation on the case
solution by the team.
A jury consisting of HUL senior leaders will evaluate and select 2 top teams from each
institute.
These top 2 teams from each institute will then qualify to enter the finals.
D. Final Presentations
The 2 shortlisted teams from each institute will be invited to the HUL Campus in Mumbai.
They will then present their case solution to a jury comprising of senior leaders from HUL.
The Jury will evaluate the teams performance based on a 5 minutes presentation + 10
minutes Q&A.
The Jury will select the winning team of Carpe Diem based on presentation and Q&A.
Travel and stay arrangements for all 12 teams travelling to Mumbai for the Finals will be
arranged by HUL.
