A wealth of experience
Renowned reliability
A commitment
to quality
The McCormick tractors of the
21st century remain true to the
values and principles that made
McCormick a world-beater for so
many years. That means no
compromises in quality. It ensures
strict compliance with some of the
most demanding manufacturing
standards in the industry. And, not
least, it heralds a renewed mission
to achieve ever-increasing
productivity levels for our
customers.
The MTX power package is ISO mounted on a cast steel chassis. This means that the
engine is free from any load bearing or torsional stresses from the front axle which
therefore improves reliability, durability and serviceability. Engine noise levels are further
reduced by the four rubber mounts.
MTX200
At the top of the MTX range, The MTX200 uses the latest CUMMINS 24V, QSB engine that
features an electronic management system, wastegate turbocharger and air-to-air cooling
for superior performance.
Five of the McCormick MTX models now feature the all new BetaPower engine. Specifically
designed to McCormick specifications, this new engine develops and utilises technology from the
successful Cummins B Series whilst the latest Cummins QSB engine powers the MTX200 model
that tops the MTX line-up.
The McCormick BetaPower engine has been
specially manufactured with two levels of
specification that are ideally suited to the
different demands of the various MTX
horsepower categories.
The MTX120, MTX135 and MTX150 models
utilise a mechanical fuel injection system to
provide rated power (at 2200rpm) of 115,
131 and 152hp respectively.
The MTX165 and MTX185 are fitted with the
24V McCormick BetaPower engine that has
the technologically advanced, common rail
fuel injection system for superior performance
in demanding applications. This results in

Power Shuttle
The 16 forward, 12 reverse speed transmission features a power
shuttle with neutral, controlled from the column mounted lever
for easy operation. This enables operators to change direction
swiftly with fingertip control, reducing headland and cycle times.
This feature, combined with the neutral facility dispenses with the
conventional clutch and associated service costs. Operators will
benefit from its easy operation particularly when round baling or
on loader work. Creep Speed is available for specialised
applications providing 32 x 24 speeds.

Effortless operation
As an option on the MTX120, MTX135 and MTX150, this axle can be equipped with multi-disc brakes,
which provides additional braking performance and stability that comes with true four-wheel braking
for high-speed, heavy load operations on the road.
Independent Front
Suspension
Also manufactured by Carraro, the MTX
can be fitted with an Independent Front
Suspension system. The unique operation
of this system means that the suspension
only acts on the wheel which is in
contact with the ground or subject to
ground variations and not to the whole
axle. This suspension system ensures a
higher degree of comfort and driving
safety as the wheels remain in continuous
contact with the ground.

Outstanding manoeuvrability.
The MTX offers the ultimate answer for smooth responsive, powerful hydraulics. They are
controlled by a load sensing, pressure flow compensating system, supplied by a variable
displacement piston pump, which constantly senses the demand for hydraulic power and
adjusts its output accordingly.
Delivering up to 155 l/min of hydraulic flow, this fast and efficient system is suitable for all
operations and actively reduces cycle times, as well as reducing fuel consumption and
ownership costs.
Using an electronic hitch control system, the operator has precise, accurate hitch operation
at his fingertips. This system also includes ride control to optimise operator comfort,
especially during road transportation. External fender switches make for safe and easy
coupling of machines or implements, and with up to 10950kg lift capacity, the MTX easily
handles all implements for its horsepower category.

Climate control
Operator comfort is maintained through a powerful heating, cooling and air circulation system. Through the adjustment of
conveniently located dials, an excellent working environment can be achieved.
In-cab comfort is further enhanced on MTX 165, 185 and 200 models, by a new optional climate control system. Simply selected
your desired working temperature and the system will maintain that temperature for you whatever the weather outdoors.

The MTX control centre is one of the most ergonomic and innovative cabs on the market today. With 326 of unobstructed
visibility through tinted windows, operators have the perfect all round vision, whatever their task.
13
Easy access
One of the many keys to the profitability of any agricultural
business, is maximum operational time. With this in mind,
the MTX is designed so that daily checks can be made quick
and easy.
