Demonstrate Knowledge/Skill: (3 minutes)
Yesterday we talked about characters, events, and how characters respond to
those events. I read you The True Story of the Three Little Pigs. Who thinks they
can tell me a character from the story? Dont say it yet! When I touch my nose,
whisper a character.
Pull up PowerPoint
A character is who the story is about. Characters can be people, animals, and
sometimes even things like Olaf from Frozen.
Events are the important things that happen in a story, and characters responses
to those events are what the characters DO about what has happened.
