IDENTIFY YOUR STYLE

A SUBMISSIVE PERSON:

… surrenders his/her rights in an effort to avoid conflict.

 Submissive person can’t fight in consistency for his rights with his opponent, they
usually leave the argument to avoid further disagreement and let others to be as the
winner of the issue.

… feels threatened by others.

 Submissive person feels insecure in his life and always expect bad happening made by
others. Their behavior usually brought under threat emotions.

… is afraid to express his/her feelings, needs, opinions and reactions.

 Submissive person got introvert personality traits and they usually scared to say
something about current discussion in the group or society, and avoid taking part in group
discussions.

 Submissive person has no confidence on his own thinking, they usually thinks that

 Aggressive Person usually acts as a selfish person and always look upon own needs
and rights and how to get personal benefits. They avoid considering other’s opinion and
benefits during decision making process.

 Aggressive person always pretend to be over confident, being pose their decisions
over others. They never give chance to other for expressing their views.

 Aggressive person always think negative about themselves, which make them
unconfident and timid. It leads to their aggressive behavior, where they try to impose
their point of view over others.

 Aggressive person’s negative approach builds a bad image in their own perception.
Having such approach brought aggression and hostility in their performance to prove
them as positive. He is involved in inferior complex & tries to conceal this by his over
aggression.

insults other because of their aggression & hostility in nature and try to be dominant over
others.

communication. They decrease their psychological aggression by pointing their finger on
others. They put their liabilities on others and try to achieve the targets by using other’s
effort.

 Aggressive person pose their demands on others as orders, instead of making requests
by considering the current possible circumstances. Their poor self-image compels them to
make orders for achieving their self interest in order to satisfy themselves.

leads to disbelief and disrespect in their behavior with others.

AN ASSERTIVE PERSON:

… has self-respect and respect others.

 Assertive person prefer to obey the philosophy of ‘give respect and take respect’.
They give chance to others; in return other will return same performance to them.

… expresses his/her feelings openly and with confidence.

 Assertive person always convey their opinions to others with logical background, it
brought confidence in their dialogue too.

 Assertive person always ask for those things, for which they are legally eligible. Such
eligibility helps them to identify their rights and follows a practical approach by utilizing
own efforts for achieving own rights and they offer same opportunity to others too. As
they always give respect to others, that’s why they always do respect other’s rights too.

do action according to their rights & Obligation, for which they are eligible, while allows
