B. Basic Competence (KD)
1.1. Mensyukuri kesempatan dapat mempelajari bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa pengantar
komunikasi internasional yang diwujudkan dalam semangat belajar.
2.1. Menunjukkan perilaku santun dan peduli dalam melaksanakan komunikasi
interpersonal dengan guru dan teman.
2.2. Menunjukkan perilaku jujur, disiplin, percaya diri, dan bertanggung jawab dalam
melaksanakan komunikasi transaksional dengan guru dan teman.
2.3. Menunjukkan perilaku tanggung jawab, peduli, kerjasama, dan cinta damai, dalam
melaksanakan komunikasi fungsional.
3.2 Menerapkan struktur teks dan unsur kebahasaan untuk melaksanakan fungsi sosial
menyatakan dan menanyakan tentang kemampuan dan kemauan melakukan suatu
tindakan, sesuai dengan konteks penggunaannya.
4.2. Menyusun teks lisan dan tulis untuk menyatakan dan menanyakan tentang kemampuan
dan kemauan melakukan suatu tindakan, dengan memperhatikan fungsi sosial,
struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan yang benar dan sesuai konteks

Opening Activity
1. The teacher greets the students and says hello.
2. The teacher checks the students attendance
3. The teacher asks the chairman to lead the prayer
4. The teacher asks the students to say yell: I love English, yes, yes, yes!
5. The teacher asks the topic what they have been learned.
6. The teacher gives the learning objective.

Main activity
Observing
1. Presented with slide of power point and video representing the expressions of ability,
students repeat the dialogue about ability to perform an action.
2. Focusing on the expressions of ability, students underline the sentences indicating ability.
Questioning
Focusing on the expressions of ability, students ask questions to the teacher as a stimulus
exploration.
Exploring
Focusing on the expressions of ability, students explain the picture with correct phrase.

Associating
Focusing on the expressions of ability, students do an interview with their classmates to
fill in the table by using Can you...? Then, make some statements based on the
previous table theyve done.
Communicating
Focusing on the expressions of ability, students patch at least 3 pictures about things or
activities that they can do or can not do. Then, write the sentences based on the pictures
theyve drawn before.
Closing Activity
The teacher asks the student do the questionnaire evaluation/assessment
