FLOORING AND DADOS
Notes :(i)
Unless otherwise stated, the labour rates include the handling charges of materials within 100
metres.
(ii)
The rates include the cost of water. Where the water is supplied free by department, the rates shall
be decreased accordingly.
(iii)
The rates given are for ground floor, for every additional storey add Rs. 0.30 per sqm.
(iv)
The labour rates given in this chapter include the cost of water, tools and plants and cost of good
earth for mud mortar and mud plaster wherever required.
(v)
Coarse sand (fine aggregate) for 1:2:4 concrete in item of conglomerate, polished and terrazo
flooring shall be as per Punjab PWD Specifications No.3.30.
(vi)
For square and rectangular columns, enhance the labour rate for item No. 14.28 to 14.32 by 33.3 per
cent. For round and eliptical columns, enhance the labour rates for the item No. 14.28 to 14.32 by
100 per cent. The through rates are to be increased accordingly.
(vii)
Risers of stair-case are to be paid as per skirting or dado rates while treads and landings are to be
paid as per flooring rates of similar specifications.
(viii) The rates for rubbing and polishing to granolithic finish are for rubbing & polishing to granolithic
grenite finish.
