Summary of education
My name is Manuel Flaschberger. I was born in 1987, in Klagenfurt, where I also grew up.
From 1994 to 1998 I went to elementary school in Welzenegg.
Starting in 1998 I went to grammar school Ingeborg Bachmann Gymnasium in Klagenfurt, which I
visited for three and a half years, until I dropped out of the school in February of 2002.
From February 2002 until July 2002 I visited grammar school BG Mssingerstrae in Klagenfurt,
where I finished eighth grade.
In the summer of 2002 I was accepted to BAKIP Klagenfurt (a college for nursery education), but I
regrettably dropped out of it in February of 2004.
After that I went to BORG Klagenfurt, where I failed to be promoted to the next class, so in July of
2004 I dropped out of school entirely to pursue an apprenticeship as an IT-technician in Wolfsberg.
The apprenticeship started in November of 2004, but after I experienced some personal problems I
dropped out of it in November of 2006, after having completed two years.
I then went on to work as a driver for pharmaceuticals for MD-Medizinische Transporte, but the
company went bankrupt in March of 2013, so I decided to try out an office apprenticeship at BFIKlagenfurt.
The apprenticeship started in August of 2013 and from November 2013 to February 2014 and
November 2014 to January 2015 I went to a vocational school in St. Veit/Glan and finished first and
second class respectively.
Since February 2015 I'm visiting the third class of the vocational school and hope to finish it in
April of 2015.

Unit 30A (Australia)

E-Mail/Facts/Urlaubsstory
Dear Sarah,
I just came back from my trip to Australia and it was amazing!
The total duration fo the flight was 22 hours. In between we stopped in Bangkok, where it was
really hot.
After my flight arrived in Sydney I checked in to my hotel, which was ok, but nothing spectcular.
I went straight to sleep, because the flight was very tiring.
The next day I went out and visited the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Both of which are
spectacular sights.
After a week of sightseeing I took a plane to Alice Springs, because I wanted to see Uluru. I went
by bus from the airport and it took about five hours. After I saw Ayer's Rock U really understood
what all the hype was about.
Instead of flying back to Sydney I decided to rent a car and drive back by myself.
I drove through a lot of the country (a lot of it was dessert) just taking in the landscape and alle the
wonderul things Australia has to offer.
After about a week I arrived in Sydney, weher I stayed another week.
After a total of three weeks in Australia I flew back to Munich. We again stopped in Bangkok,
where this time I stayed overnight.
In Munich I stayed for three days and visited the Oktoberfest, which was really fun and a perfect
ending for my holiday.
After nearly a month I arrived in Klagenfurt. I was very tired, but really happy.
Cheers,
Manuel
