Tasks description for the Project in the MAC2

1st part pneumatic control system design


1. Design the system of the pneumatic control for the sequence of the movements given.
2. Build the circuit designed in the FluidSIM software and simulate until full functionality
(memory blocks mandatory, Quickstepper recomended as the second posibility) .
3. Build the circuit from the physical components on the laboratory table and complete to
the full functionality (according to the time and the components set possibilities).
4. Prepare the documentation of the solution designed
5. Prepare the presentation of the solution designed
Common requirements for all the tasks:
The whole sequence is started via pushbutton Start.
The piece is detected via a sensor, the sequence cannot be started without the piece
presence at the right position.
After the completion of the whole batch there will be indication with the first pneumatic
indicator.
(HMI advanced not mandatory, but recomended:
Inputs from the operator:
With the switch M/A there is a posibility to chose between Manual and Automatic mode of
operation.
With the switch S/B there is a posibility to chose between the mode of One Sequence (e.g.
one piece) or the mode Batch (m - sequences e.g. m - pieces).
With the special mushroom shaped pushbutton NotStop there is a posibility to accept the
user defined position of all pneumatic motors according to the safety requirements.
Outputs to the operator
After the completion of one sequence there will be indication with the second pneumatic
indicator. This indicator will be reset at the beginning of the next sequence)

6. Design the solution in the electropneumatics from particular components (contacts,
relays..)
7. Build the circuit designed in the FluidSIM software and simulate until full functionality
8. Design the hardware solution with virtual PLC in FluidSIM
9. Design the software solution in the GRAPHCET language in FluidSIM and simulate
until full functionality
10. Compare and discuss all the posibilities of solutions designed
