Design, Analysis and Fabrication of an

Amphibious Unmanned Air Vehicle
October 1st 2015
July 1st 2016

B. Project Start Date:

C. Project Finish Date:
D. Project Summary (less than 200
words)
Unmanned vehicles are becoming a critical component of military operations. An Amphibious
Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) is a type of unmanned vehicles that can take-off and land on
ground as well as water. The goal of project is to meet the challenges of designing and fielding
such a unique vehicle. The research and analysis done on it would help to adopt the same or
alternative options to develop such equipment. The UAV basically will provide a test bed for the
further research and the issues concerning different components will help to improve the design
while making on bigger scale.

Different designs will be considered to meet the core requirements of the vehicle. After selecting
an appropriate one, a thorough CFD analysis would be done to better understand the dynamic
response of some significant components of design under real conditions. The material will be
tested structurally (subjected to the availability of time) in which different material tests will be
conducted. After the analysis, a print-out of the design will be used as a plan for the fabrication
of UAV.
