Whereas, the Commission vide its advertisement Notification No. 22-PSC (DR-P)
of 2012

dated 02.04.2012

notified 01 post

of Dietician in Health and Medical

Education Department; and

Whereas, in response to the said Notifications,104
against the post and

candidates had applied

in pursuance of Rule 40 of J&K Public Service Commission

(Business & Procedure Rules) 1980, on the basis of marks obtained in Basic
Qualification and weight-age given to higher qualification.

05 candidates were

shortlisted; and
Whereas, vide this office Notice dated 19.06.2012, list of 05 candidates who
were falling with the short listing criteria for interview along with ,cut of points as 70.91
was notified; and
Whereas, one Kanika Mahajan D/o Lokesh Chander submitted a representation
with a submission that inadvertently she has shown her percentage of marks in the
OMR application form as 84.4 whereas she is possessing

percentage of marks as

76.59% only in Masters Degree; and

Whereas, as per Rule 51 of J&K P.S.C. Business & Procedure Rule 1980 she
was actually entitled to the weight age of 68.93 out of 90 points only; and
Whereas as per the criteria fixed by the Commission she is not falling within the
short listed candidates on the basis of her percentage of marks in Masters Degree i.e.
76.59%.
Now, therefore, it is hereby notified :(i)

That the interview call letter if any issued in favour of of Kanika Mahajan
D/o Lokesh Chander R/o H.No:26, Asha Kunj Mohinder Nagar Canal
Road Jammu for interview for the post of Dietician in Health & Medical

Education Department scheduled on 24.08.2012 shall and shall always

deemed to have been cancelled.
(ii)

That Sania Bashir D/o Bashir Ahmad Vakil R/o Shah Mohalla Ahmad
Nagar Srinagar who is next in order of merit is called for interview in place
of Kanika Mahajan D/o Lokesh Chander for the post of Dietician in
Health and Medical Education Department scheduled on 24.08.2012.

(iii)

The revised cut off Points is 70.76 instead of 70.91 as notified earlier vide
this office notice dated 19.06.2012.
