RAW DATA
Number of class:
K = 1 + 3.3 log(40) = 6.29
Thus, the number of classes is 6 or 7
Range:
Largest observation-smallest observation = 15 2.5 =12.5
Class width:
Range/number of classes =12.5/6.29= 1.99
Thus, we round up and take class width as 2

QUESTION 1
This assignment was conducted to make an survey regarding how much
students of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Kuantan
Campus spend their money in a month to use laundry services provided in
their Mahallah. In order to get the data , I used a random sampling method
to get the feedback from respondents by distributing some sets of question
to 40 students without considering their course taken.
The data was then analyzed and tabulated as shown in Table 1. From the
histogram in Figure 1, we could observe the trend that most of the
students spent about RM 8.53 to RM 10.53 in a month for laundry
services . This was confirmed in the questionnaire distributed to them that
most of the students usually use laundry services about 3 times in a
month. The money spent varied because some washing machines required
RM2.50 and RM 3.00 to operate each time they were doing laundry. In
average, a student would spend RM 8.63 for the servive. Usually, they
prefer to wash averagely once a week in a month by using washing
machine. Normally, the students chose weekends; Saturday and Sunday as
their preferable day to do laundry because of their tight schedule.

QUESTION 2(b)
Pearsons of Skewness (PCS) = 3(8.63 8.52) / 3.65
= 0.0904
The distribution is said to be skewed to the right, or to have positive
skewness. Most of the observations lie at the lower end of the distribution.
