Course Description:
Assessment is an integral part of an indispensable tool to the teaching-learning process to achieve optimal learning. Thus,
this 3-unit course is offered to prospective teachers in the basic education who are in their third year level. It enables students to
approximately measure learning outcomes through varied assessment tools. This course further purports to develop students to
become critical assessors of diverse learning. It aims also to develop teachers who are very rational and objective in assessing the
performance of their learners.

B. Learning Outcomes

Institutional Learning Outcomes:


The Cagayan State University aims to produce graduates who are:
1. Competent equipped with knowledge and technical know-how needed in their career and societal development; (knowledge

2. Self-disciplined - imbued with desirable values of simple living, modesty, honesty, cooperation, humility, pride for our national
identity and love of God. (attitudes and values outcome)
3. Unparalleled excellent, skilful, and deserving in their chosen fields of specialization. (skills outcome)
Program Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the program, the students should be able to:
a) articulate the latest developments in their specific field of practice;
b) effectively communicate orally and in writing using both the English/ Filipino language;
c) work effectively in multi- disciplinary and multi- cultural teams;
d) demonstrate professional, social and ethical responsibility especially in practicing intellectual property rights;
e) preserve and promote Filipino historical and cultural heritage based on RA 7722.
The School Physical Education program expects to produce graduates who are able to:
a) B-ridge the gap between traditional teaching and 21st century education as well as to effective teacher-learner relationship
b) P- erform with proficiency and efficiency all movement forms, physical skills, verbal and written communication skills,
leadership and managerial capabilities and classroom management for all types of learners;
c) E-mploy authentic and up-to-date strategies and techniques in teaching MAPEH;
d) S-how mastery through demonstration of acquired knowledge through the construction of enhanced and appropriate learning
plans in Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health and in other fields;
e) P-roduce researches of topics about educational management integrated with music, physical education, health/wellness and
arts;
f) E-ngage on collaborative activities in achieving effective and independent work in multi- disciplinary and multi- cultural teams;

g) M-otivate learners to develop potentials and talents through appropriate strategies, methods, assessment tools, materials in
teaching MAPEH;
h) A-ppreciate arts , music, dance and arts through organizing events in the promotion of the said disciplines
i) P-erform dances aesthetically, play instruments skilfully, compose songs creatively and observe healthy lifestyle;
j) E-xemplify lifelong fitness among the members of the community;
k) H-one gifts and talents of learners with due consideration on multiple intelligences so to employ differentiated instruction.

The Sports and Wellness Management program expects to produce graduates who are able to:
a) B-e experts in the demonstration of knowledge in sports and wellness through the construction of enhanced and appropriate
scientific training plans in Physical Education, fitness and wellness;
b) P- erform techniques necessary to different conditioning programs through science for both normal and differently- abled
individuals;
c) E-valuate accurately body and health conditions and implement appropriate programs thereto;
d) S-upport theories and practices in sports and wellness management with the integration of recent developments;
e) W-ork collaboratively on achieving effective and independent work in multi- disciplinary and multi- cultural teams;
f) M- anage cooperatively sports competitions, production numbers, leisure and recreational activities, wellness programs and
other related events observing moral and ethical considerations
