ThesteaminjectionpressurelikelyfracturedtheMcMurrayA2shaleandprovidedacommunicationconduitforsteam
heatatfirstandthenhotcombustiongasfromtheadvancingfrontafterthePIHC.
FromtheprofileatTOB1andTOB2thiscommunicationwasdecreasingdramaticallybeforethethermocoupleswere
lostinAugustof2008.
Thereisnoevidencethatthesethermocouplesfailedduetoexcessivelyhightemperatures.The
followingreasonscouldbethecauseofthethermocouplefailure:
Inaddition,theheatingoftheMcMurrayAappearstobeanextremelylocalizedeffectasOB6,
whichisonly42metersaway,showsverylittleheatinginthetimeperiodofthisapparent
communication.
OB3morethanlikelyhadasimilarscenariowithsteamheatbeingtransferredduringthePIHCatA1.
Thereisnoevidencethatcombustiongas,duetothetimeofthe temperatureincrease,affected
theMcMurrayAsandtemperatureatOB3.
TheOB3profileshowsthattheMcMurrayAsandisnowatnativetempandhasbeenforsometime.
Inalloftheseprofilesthereisnoevidenceofanegativeimpactoftheresourceinthe
McMurrayAsand.
