This application must be submitted to sanctioning authority 3-4 days prior to availing leave.

Applicant can ONLY PROCEED on leave, after necessary APPROVAL is granted by PEOPLE.
Please refer to the PEOPLE Leave Policy for details regarding eligibility, entitlement and other rules governing leave.

Summary Leave Entitlement:


Annual leave of 15 days after completion of One year of continuous services.
Casual leave of 10 days. Only in emergency cases for a max. of 1-2 days.
Sick leave of 8 days. Staff is required to submit a Medical Certificate if absence is for more than 2 days.

Original to be forwarded to PEOPLE for leave record, salary processing & approval at the address overleaf.

Copy of application to staff member for personal records.

LEAVE POLICY
The following types of leave shall be admissible to all employees
of Professional Employers Private Limited. (PEOPLE)

MODE OF APPLYING FOR LEAVE.


Applications for all kinds of leave of absence should be made on

An employee will be eligible to 14 days calendar leave on completion
of one year of continuous service. This leave is not en-cashable
and cannot be accumulated. Staff proceeding on annual leave
has to inform at least 15 days in advance.

CASUAL LEAVE
An employee is entitled to ten (10) days of Casual leave during
a calendar year. This leave is allowed to meet situations of a
casual / personal nature and will essentially be of very short
duration, ranging from a minimum of one (1) day to a maximum

of two (2) days at a time.


If advance notice cannot be given, the line manager at the Clients
Company should be informed by 10.00 a.m. on the
first day of absence, advising the reason of the absence and its

likely duration.
This leave can neither be accumulated nor en-cashed.

SICK LEAVE
An employee is entitled to leave during periods of illness, up to a
maximum of eight (8) days during a calendar year. It is the
employees responsibility to notify the Clients Company by 10
a.m. on the first day of absence, advising the reason for the
absence and its likely duration and to keep his/her line manager
regularly updated during any period of sickness absence.
Sick leave exceeding two (2) days is required to be supported by
a Medical Certificate from a registered medical practitioner.
PEOPLE Management, however, reserves the right to question the

authenticity of a Medical Certificate, and initiate necessary


disciplinary action in case an employee submits a false

document/statement.
Sick leave in excess of entitlement will be treated as leave without
pay. This leave can neither be accumulated nor en-cashed.

REPORTING AN ABSENCE
If you are coming late for work or are unable to come to work due
to an emergency, you must inform your line manager as soon as
possible on the first day of your absence. This will help your
supervisor plan coverage of your duties until your return and
minimize interruptions to work flow.

UNAUTHORIZED ABSENCE ABANDONMENT


The employee is expected to devote his/her full time and devotion
to Clients Company duties during normal working hours. Any
unauthorized absence may result in a deduction from salary and

/ or disciplinary action.
Unauthorized absence from work for a continuous period of ten
(10) working days (including absence in the case of leave applied
for but not granted), or when overstayed for the same period after
expiry of sanctioned leave, may as per PEOPLE management discretion,
constitute grounds for summary dismissal, without further notice

or intimation.

OTHER RULES & REGULATIONS REGARDING LEAVE.


Leave cannot be claimed as a matter of right. When the exigencies
of service so require, the leave sanctioning authority shall have
powers to refuse leave of any kind or to recall an employee before

the expiry of leave.
