ABSTRACT
The monitoring technique is basically used for detecting
and extracting the faults. There are many type of
condition monitoring techniques that are used for the
purpose of fault detection. Here vibration monitoring is
considered to detect the condition of motor. It detects
whether machine is faulty or healthy. Vibration
Monitoring is the best way for diagnose the common
mechanical faults in induction motor by using NI
Labview. The common mechanical faults that can be
detected by using that technology that are: bearing fault,
gearbox fault, air gap eccentricity fault and load faults.
Keywords: accelerometer, catastrophic failure, Fault
detection, induction motor, wireless sensor.

That bearing used in the induction motor consists of
inner race and outer race with the set of balls on the
rolling element. The bearing faults are produced a radial
motion between stator or rotor of the machine. Another
reason is that due to imbalance or improper alignment of
the bearing and the shaft.
