COMPARATIVE & SUPERLATIVE ADVERBS


Comparative adverbs compare two actions. Superlative adverbs compare three actions or more.

With adverbs ending in -ly, use more for the comparative, and most for the superlative.

An essay has three parts. They are: introduction, body and conclusion.
The body has one paragraph or more. It is best to have two or more body paragraphs.
When you write an essay, you must use transition words. Examples are first, second, also, and
finally.
You must also use signal words to help the reader follow the essay. Signal words help the reader
