SECURITY IN THE INTERNET ENVIRONMENT

Internet phenomenon affects everywhere, including social and political sector. Rapid growth
makes it as the no more border countries. It is reshaping the various aspects that affected by the
internet, such as society, economy, politics, and the military on a global scale. With the collected
image from the internet, the internet development in the future and the world order will be formed to
the internet shape. The collective image which has four aspect will be assessed through the framework
of national security, private security, and network security.
In this globalization era, information technology such as the internet easilu affect the local
culture in various ways. It means that the internet is a real threat to national security. Many country
decided to block any website to protect their people, and in other country, internet is free to use
without any protection from the country. Various responses shown by various countries to respond it.
Besides the national security, state security is also affected by the existence of the internet.
Internet has the potential to affect the security of the state. On the internet, the state control is lower
than the real world. This is because the internet is free to use and in addition a lot of human resources
that can penetrate and break the protection which created by the state government. So there is no
secret in the internet, which creates vulnerability to theft of the state data.
It also has an impact on the individual security or private security. If someone has entered into
the world of the Internet, then anyone can access it. And if someone inserts a confidential data to the
internet, then at once the data is not confidential, since there is no security in the internet that is really
safe. This is where the role of the state is expected to emerge with a protective policy or protection
policy with other policies.
Security is also required by the network. Internet in all regions in the world connected by a
network which are then interconnected. The network includes a wide variety of data that is uploaded
by Internet users. Connected with each other because this network requires a security in order to avoid
undesirable and to avoid the occurrence of crime in the internet.
But the Internet also has a positive side. When we talk internet, it is not only about
cybercrime, cyberwar, hackers, crackers, or other. Internet with the use of a positive nature will
provide benefits to its users. Then the government in this case acts as a service provider, and still
guarantee the security of each of its citizens even in the internet world.
