Calibration of Valve

Gauges and Meters

Introduction:
Rapid progress in factories and power plants and its associated utilities leads to a parallel
needs in measurement and control actions in different sites and environments. Advanced
measurement systems have created the worlds most advanced distribution automation suite,
including designing, planning, management, and automatic feeder restoration. The advance in
measurement and control system leads to needs of progress advance in instrumentation ,
including valves, actuators , switches and different meters.
When it comes to calibration, it is not enough to state that an instrument complies with
published specifications; it is necessary to be ready to prove it and to have a state-of-the-art
system in place to monitor and preserve the quality of all calibrations. This course ranges from
revision of valves, actuators and switches and different meters needs for local and remote
measurements and control for different sites , To the advanced test methods and its manipulation
and calibration action execution will be required.

Who should attend?

The course curriculum is designed for electric power engineers. Supervisors and qualified
technicians can get considerable upgrading education. The course is also beneficial for other
engineers such as mechanical, communication and petrol engineers.

Program duration:

- Five days
Program Documents:

- Main Hard copy

- Course CD
- Additional items upon request.
The program has been designed to provide practical knowledge and tools of design, analysis and
implementation of both conventional and advanced measurement and metering elements (valves,
actuators and switches, ) in factories, power plants and other electrical utilities.

Program Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

Understand the basic concepts of the design of systems measurement , control, and
metering.
