Programs/Tools:
Microsoft Word

Objectives:

Create a full bleed design in Microsoft Word. Scanning an

image into the design and using an attractive color scheme
to highlight the project.

Process:

I scanned the image of the dog into Microsoft Word.

Using the image as the focal point of the design I created
the Ad around the image. I used a split complementary
color scheme of purple, teal and gold. I then brought in
the American Humane Society Logo to help show the
benefactors involvement in the event.

Programs/Tools:
Adobe Illustrator

Objectives:

Create a logo design in a vector that can be shown in any

size. The Logo needs to have typeography and a good color
scheme to match the brand or product.

Process:

Using Adobe Illustrator I made the little hiking man.

Orignally I had not incorparated him into the design but
later added him into the title as the I. I framed out the
Logo to help make it more identifiable and to help the
Outfitters pop more.

Programs/Tools:

Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign

Objectives:

Create a full bleed brochure that incorporates a logo, title,

text wrap, cut out image, and several other images.

Process:

I started in Indesign and created a Logo and Title that

matched the idea of a winter resort. I carried the logo
and title into Indesign and created a layout that I felt was
appealing and constructive to those that might want to
know a little more about the mountain. I placed each image
in a way that leads your eyes through the brochure. My
favorite part is that when the brochure is opened the front
and back show one image of a snowboarder at the top of
the resort looking out to the mountains across the valley.
Nothing says come to the Winter Solstice Resort more than
the awe-inspiring views.

the company logo making a strong and bold statement,

Programs/Tools:
Adobe Photoshop

Objectives:

Use an original photo and create a good design using a

color scheme and design principals from Visual Focus.

Process:

I used Adobe Photoshop to edit the photo I took of the

physics books. I used basic color modifying tools and then
cut the books out of the image to create a focus on the
books rather than the room that was in the original image. I
then created a background design and then added a unique
quote that I had heard while interviewing some of the
physics majors.
