An insperational montage made by the blending of two or

more images, and the use of typography.

Date:

10/24/15

Course/Instructor:
Comm 130 Section 12
Sister Kunz

Program(s)/Tools:
Adobe Photoshop
Paint
Google.

Objectives:

Learn to manage Photoshop layers.

Learn to blend images together smoothly, using masks.
Use filters.
Apply appropriate typography.

Process:

I cropped the background image to 8.511, I then added

the second image over the bubble as a mask. I then started
blending it, first with 80-100% around the edges, then
20,40,and 60% to smooth it in more. Then I added some text
in from a quote I found through google. I adjusted the text
and change the font of the words drop and ocean to make
then stand out more. I blended the image a bit more after some
feedback using 20% I adjusted the text to make it fit better and
provide more white space freedom.

Program(s)/Tools:

Objectives:

Write content to describe the process of creating your logo and
how it appeals to a target audience.
Design a web page using HTML to display a logo and content.
Acquire a working knowledge of HTML and basic
understanding of CSS.
Identify hex colors for web design.
Compress multiple files in a zipped folder to attach as one file.

Process:

I created this project using some templates from my instructor

then editing those in Notepad++ Making an HTML file styled
with a CSS file. I also check the valadition with http://www.
W3.orgs validator.
I linked the CSS file to the HTML file and adjusted the CSS
file to include my colors and then played around a bit with
a few settings, such as the <hr/> tag to have some barriers. I
played around with the logo to make it right and also it gave
me trouble where the red in the logo was different from the
color. I had that fixed on the third attempt.

Even though it was a point and shoot camera I was able to
take this nice shot. I then took my image into Photoshop and
cropped it to a 66 inch square. I then selected the background
using the quick selection tools, and applied the gaussian blur
filter. I finally desaturated the the background color.

Logos
Description:

Three logo variations for the same company.

Date:

Course/Instructor:
Comm 130 Section 12
Sister Kunz

Program(s)/Tools:
Adobe Illustrator

Objectives:

Create a variety of logos to fit a company or personal image.

Use the basic tools of Illustrator.

Process:

This was really fun to create a logo in Illustrator. I used the

ellipse tool to create the basic shape of the tomato. I then used
the direct select tool to manipulate some of the curves. This
gave the shape a more tomato look. I then used the pen tool
to make the stem and leaves. Most of the other elements are
just typography. I made sure to choose fonts from contrasting
categories to capitalize on the contrast. I also tried getting
some more contrast by changing the sizes of the words.

Letterhead
Description:

Matching letterhead and business card designed using a

personally created logo.

Date:

Course/Instructor:
Comm 130 Section 12

Program(s)/Tools:
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe InDesign

Objectives:

Create a new logo to fit a company or personal image.

Design consistent layouts for a business card and letterhead.
Use the basic tools of Illustrator & InDesign.

Process:

I first came up with the logo using Illustrator, which involved

using the pen tool to each half of the log and then copy it to
create the insides and other half which I then joined together.
I then did the same for the brushes, which I just made a copy
and rotated them and colored the tips.
With the letter head I placed this logo in the top left corner
with the title next to it. I had name and contact info to the right
connected with some dots I then added dots to the bottom to
match and a watermark paintbrush, which later I removed the
bottom dots and moved the watermark to the right.

With the business card I had the back just show a large version
of the logo, and the front I kept simple and tried to position
things relative to how the letterhead was placed.

stretched the edges of the image to get rid of some background

some black rectangles and white text along with a header to
