SPECIFICATION

1.1.

GENERAL:
SCOPE:

1.

The scope of work to be executed under this contract is for the item of works covered under
the title.

a.

The entire electrical installation shall be carried out in accordance with latest indian electricity
& relevant I.S standards up to date . The work shall also comply with all statutory regulations of
supply agencies , state inspection authorities & fire regulation.

b.

The work scope includes but is not limited to the enclosed Bill of Quantity, Drawings,
erection, testing and commissioning as per specification.

c.

The contractor shall bear total responsibility of the work to be executed and shall not avail
himself of any unintentional error or omission in the enclosed documents.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.2

The contractor should work in consultation with consultants in the interest of the job.
His responsibilities include but are not limited to following:

a.

Committing work schedule including dates of commencement and completion.

b.

Engaging and deploying adequate No. of full time, well qualified and experienced, skilled,
authorized personnel along with sufficient semi-skilled and unskilled labours.

c.

Ensuring safety and security of personnel, materials and installations at site.

d.

Co-operating with other agencies working at site.


Seeking prior permission from Owners for any type of cutting, chasing, drilling etc. for making
pockets/holes etc. in any RCC slab/column/wall etc.

f.

Making good any other agency's work damaged by him, if any.


Including the cost of material and labour.
Doing chasing the masonry walls for placing concealed conduits and Distribution Board
etc. and making them good with CM (1:2) plaster including cost of materials and labour
as well as making good pockets in RCC slab in M 30 grade concrete (material + labour)
Cost of materials supplied by Owners will be recovered at there landed cost at site.

g.

Working out actual quantities and details, making of working drawings, sketches, conduit
layouts based on enclosed documents and other relevant drawings etc. for carrying out his
work smoothly, and also making timely regular
progress
reports,
test reports,
measurement/reconciliation reports, as built drawings etc.

h.

Seeking clarifications on contradictions, if there are any.

i.

Seeking approvals on deviations, if required are any.

j.

Seeking clearances before starting any part of the job.

k.

Timely arranging all necessary tools, tackles, duly testified testing instruments, equipments
accessories etc.

l.

Timely ordering out and procuring of materials.

m.

Making optimum utilization and sizing of materials so that wastages are minimum (in any case
wastage should not exceed 2% in any item). However all wastages shall be the contractors
account, no compensation shall be paid by the Client.

n.
p.

Safe handling, unpacking/packing, checking, transporting of materials to and fro site/stores.


Repairing for any transit damage of equipments, checking / tightening/ fixing of
loose components and connections.

q.

Redoing/modifying/correcting any dis-approved/improper/defective/poor quality/bad looking


work, without any delay.

s.

Participating
in
regular
review
meetings
instructions and attending to priorities fixed.

t.

Operating, maintaining, protecting the installation from any damage due to any cause till it is
taken over by the owner.

u.

Keeping the vendor/consultants well informed of all his activities and plans all the time.

v.

Indemnifying the owner from any liabilities due to his


contractual obligations.

x.

Keeping site neat and clean all the time.

y.

To inform the respective supply vendor to be present on site to assist for testing &
commisioning.

z.

Handing over the installation in working and perfect condition to the purchaser (Owner).
