The candidate(s) should possess Degree in Engineering with good academic record from
recognized University / Institution. Candidates possessing Post Graduate degree in Business
Administration will be preferred.
The incumbent should be experienced in handling projects and managing team of 100-200
executives in a target based and business achievements environment in Engineering services /
IT field and should have the requisite post qualification executive experience encompassing the

The candidate(s) should possess an Engineering Degree preferably in Mechanical / Automobile
discipline with good academic record from a recognized University / Institution. Preference
will be given to candidates with M.E / M.Tech qualification.
The incumbent preferably from farm equipment industry / Auto Design / Industrial Gear Box
Industry or Allied industries, should have the requisite post qualification experience /
exposure in the following areas:
Transmission / Hydraulic Design,
Transmission / Hydraulic Control
Farm equipment Hydraulics life and draft controls systems
ANSYS, Kissoft, FE fatigue, failure analysis
The incumbent would be required to perform the following:
Lead a team of design engineers to assist them in design & development work in CAD
environment.
Implementing of best practices in managing the transmission / hydraulic systems & its
operations
Establish system testing plan, design documentation as per ISO 9001 QMS requirement
Over all responsible for execution of farm equipment transmission design project and
leading cross functional teams and interaction with customer / vendor.

c) Sr. Manager / Manager / Asst. Manager (Transmission / Hydraulic Design)


The candidate(s) should possess first class Engineering Degree preferably in Mechanical /
Automobile discipline with good academic record from a recognized University / Institution.
Preference will be given to candidates with M.E / M.Tech qualification.

The incumbent should have the requisite post qualification experience / exposure in the
following areas:
Gear Design, Shaft design, gear quality, main clutch design, Wet Brake Design, Bearing
selection etc.,
Familiarization of Gear Material.
Familiarization of Electro Hydraulic controls and Transmission controls.
Knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink is desirable.
Knowledge of Heat Treatment processes for Gears and Transmission parts, familiar with
DFMEA Process.
Knowledge of process planning such as preparation of process sketches, design of jigs &
Fixtures, process time estimates, time and motion study and manufacturing methods
for Transmission parts such as gears, shafts, housing etc., and hydraulic system.
Familiar with castings & forging process, Familiar with DFMEA process.
Fluency in Pro-e, ANSYS, Solid works, Kissoft, Autocard, FE Fatique.
Familiar with ISO 9000 QMS system and documentation.

d) Sr. Manager / Manager / Asst. Manager (Engine Design)


The candidate(s) should possess first class Engineering Degree in Mechanical / Automobile
discipline with good academic record from a recognized University / Institution. ME / M.Tech
degree in IC Engines / Automobile is preferred
The incumbent should have minimum requisite post qualification executive in the following
areas:
AVL/RICARDO engine design software, particularly BOOST, EXCITE CAM Design,
EXCITE, FIRE, RICARDO WAVE, VECTIS
Thermodynamic cycle stimulation of engine performance, combustion and gas exchange
process simulation and analysis
Interactive kinematics design and optimization of cam profiles, valve train dynamic
analysis, valve response, timing drive and transmission induced noise
Dynamic behavior of crank train, hydrodynamic bearing analysis, torsional vibration of
crank shafts and also transient strength analysis of crank shaft, connecting rod, main
bearing wall, piston, slider bearing design and piston liner contact analysis
CFD capability to optimize piston, port of swirl ratio and flow coefficient intake manifold,
exhaust manifold etc using AVL / Ricardo software
Exposure to diesel engines, subsystem, primary accessories and performance related
parts
Engine assembly and testing with reference to emission testing and optimization

II. Defence Business


i)

Chief General Manager (Production)

The candidate(s) should possess an Engineering Degree in Mechanical / Automobile discipline


with good academic record from a recognized University / Institution.
The incumbent should have minimum requisite post qualification executive in the following
areas:
To oversee all production activities for Defence equipments manufactured at Bangalore,
KGF and Palakkad Complex.
Complete idea of manufacturing processes, familiarity with modern manufacturing
machines, sheet metal shops and machine shops
Ability to lay stress on quality of the output from the manufacturing units and have zero
tolerance for failures
To monitor progress of the production from the manufacturing units and ensure targets
with respect to the value of production are met
Exposure to marketing needs and be able to tailor the manufactured Defence products
in tune with customer expectations

ii) a) General Manager / Dy. General Manager (Research & Development)


The candidate(s) should possess an Engineering Degree in Mechanical / Automobile discipline
with good academic record from a recognized University / Institution.
The incumbent will lead and contribute to the analysis, conceptual design, technical project
planning, detail design, development and testing of military, commercial, and other equipment.
He will operate as head of the Defence Business Vertical, reporting to the Director, Defence
Business. He will lead the R&D setup with multi-locational teams and perform lead
engineering work requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in
carrying out a variety of engineering tasks. Must be a self-starter, with knowledge of
mechanical /electromechanical design and excellent communication skills.
The incumbent should have minimum requisite post qualification executive in the following
areas:

Work experience in Defence Labs / Research would be preferred.


Product Design & Development at macro and micro levels. Experience in design of
military equipment / aggregates, particularly in the Indian context, will be preferred
Manage project plan including key deliverables, timeline, and budget.
Design of new products / product improvement / cost reduction products
Experience in complete project cycle from concept to delivery

Sound technical knowledge in Defence Products / Equipments.


Knowledge of products used in the various defence Establishments / Labs.
Familiar with Defence procurement procedures and functioning of various
departments at integrated HQ of MoD (Army/ Navy/ Air force), New Delhi and other
Defence Establishments.
Marketing of high value industrial & allied machinery & equipment catering to Defence
Business domain.

The incumbent is expected to :

Have a through understanding of the Defence acquisition plan


Knowledge of channelizing MOD RFIs into confirmed contracts by converting
Ability to collect outstanding for PCDA / Defence finance
Ability to represent the Company in PNC/CNC meetings
Implement the marketing plans and programs specific to any of the 5 Ps of marketing
(Product/Packaging, Pipeline, Promotion, People and Price) as approved by the
Management.
Monitor the performance and progress of marketing initiatives versus prescribed goals
stipulated in the approved marketing plans and within specified budgets.
Coordinate with the sales department to check on the progress of any advertising and
promotional campaigns aimed at generating sales, creating new markets, or in the
launching of new products in existing markets.
Establish a sustained market presence by nurturing a strong and consistent foothold in
the customer consciousness of defence products being marketed.
Support the sales forces with marketing programs that are realistic, implementable,
measurable and rewarding for the company and its people.
Conduct focus group discussions with invited customers, sales agents and marketing
people to explore ways to improve products and services.
Provide marketing performance reports to higher management.
Perform administrative duties such as sales reporting, Customer Relationship
Management (CRM), Sales forecasting and office administration
Follow up with customers for orders and ensure timely delivery of material.
Responsible for customer credit management and on time Payment collection.
Visualize future products that could be produced in Companys production units.

responses as well as the responsibility to gain product approval and other activities as
desired.
Build and maintain relationships with customers to promote and sell our product.
Be the main interface with the various Defence Establishments
Formulate budgets and sales targets and prepare reports on a periodic basis.
Liaise with HQ on preparation of customer quotations / proposals and response to
tenders.
Perform administrative duties such as sales reporting, Customer Relationship

with good academic record from a recognized University / Institution. MBA or equivalent
degree/diploma with specialization in International Business is desirable.
The incumbent should have minimum requisite post qualification executive in the following
areas:
Marketing high value industrial & allied machinery & equipment, catering to diverse
sectors such as Mining & Construction, Defence, Rail & Metro and Aerospace business
domain.
International exposure in marketing capital goods and should have dealt both sales &
after sales service activities either on his own or through dealers.
The incumbent is expected to:

Formulate and implement strategies for business development and enhancing market
share.
Identify and set up Regional Offices that would provide end-to-end solutions.
Responsible for Post-sales engagement including operational support, maintenance and
after sales-service

IV. Rail & Metro (Testing / Commissioning)


a) Dy. General Manager / Asst. General Manager - Testing & Commissioning
The candidate(s) should possess Degree in Engineering in Electrical/ Electronics discipline
with good academic record from a recognized University/ Institution. The incumbent should
have minimum requisite post qualification executive experience in Metro Railways or related
industry in the following areas :
Strong technical knowledge of the development and production of rolling stock and
related systems.
Fault Finding, Troubleshooting and testing the Rolling Stock, ensuring the correct
electrical faults are located in order to ensure the Rolling Stock is fully tested.
Prepare performance test protocol and obtain customer approval.
Knowledge of latest instruments and processes used in this area.
Interaction with internal R&D team and provide support as necessary for R&D projects.
Establish the functional requirements on the electrical apparatuses and components
that are required for realization of the train operation functions.
Participate in the design and realization of the train operation functions together with
the functional and electrical integrators, project engineers and system engineers.
Sound Knowledge in testing processes of Metro coaches. (Dielectric Test, Bell check,
vehicle control test, TIMS, traction test etc.)
Participate in regular design reviews during the project design phases; both internally
with other engineering disciplines and externally with customers.
Coordinating production operations and employees.
Maintaining the Production Schedules.
Demonstrating strong leadership skills and a positive attitude.
Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP).
Ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed.
Oversee and/or ensure good housekeeping at site at all times.

The incumbent will be responsible for :

Preparing the procedure and checklist for Testing & Commissioning of rolling stocks for
metro and light rail coaches at the factory, maintenance depot and main line, in
consultation with production and R&D department.
Liaising and taking approval from customer for Testing & Commissioning plan.
Organizing Testing & Commissioning activities at the factory and at customer premises.
Creating necessary infrastructural facilities and procurement of equipment for Testing &
Commissioning activities.
Organizing and supervising repair & rectification work during Testing & Commissioning
period.

b) Sr. Manager (Electrical)


The candidate(s) should possess first class Degree in Engineering in Electrical/ Electronics
discipline with good academic record from a recognized University/ Institution. The incumbent
should have minimum requisite post qualification executive experience in Metro Railways or
related industry in the following areas :

Persons having worked in similar fields in Metro Railway systems / Rail industry /Metro
Railway in maintenance / Manufacturing in Rolling stocks are preferred.
Strong technical knowledge at rolling stock and related systems
Fault finding, trouble shooting and testing rolling stock, ensuring the correct electrical
faults are located in order to ensure the rolling stock is fully tested.
Knowledge of latest instrument and process used in this area

c) Asst. Manager (Electrical)


The candidate(s) should possess first class Degree in Engineering in Electrical/ Electronics
discipline with good academic record from a recognized University/ Institution. The incumbent
should have minimum requisite post qualification executive experience in Metro Railways or
related industry in the following areas :

Persons having worked in similar fields in Metro Railway systems / Rail industry /Metro
Railway in maintenance / Manufacturing in Rolling stocks are preferred.
Strong technical knowledge at rolling stock and related systems
Fault finding, trouble shooting and testing rolling stock, ensuring the correct electrical
faults are located in order to ensure the rolling stock is fully tested.
Sound knowledge in testing process of Metro coaches (Dielectric test, bell check, VCC
test, TIMS, Traction test etc)

d) Asst. Manager (Mechanical)


The candidate(s) should possess first class Degree in Engineering in Mechanical / Automobile
discipline with good academic record from a recognized University/ Institution. The incumbent
should have minimum requisite post qualification executive experience in Metro Railways or
related industry in the following areas :

Persons having worked in similar fields in Metro Railway systems / Rail industry /Metro
Railway in maintenance / Manufacturing in Rolling stocks are preferred.
Strong technical knowledge at rolling stock and related systems
Fault finding, trouble shooting and testing rolling stock, ensuring the correct
mechanical faults are located in order to ensure the rolling stock is fully tested.

V. Aerospace Marketing
a) Asst. General Manager (New Delhi / Bangalore)
The candidate should be an engineering graduate, preferably in the discipline of Mechanical /
Aeronautics / Industrial Production from recognized University/ Institution.
The incumbent should possess minimum requisite post qualification experience in an Aircraft
industry/Aircraft manufacturing industry. Experience in Marketing of Ground support and
Ground handling equipments, business development for aircraft tooling, component
manufacturing & assembly is essential. Knowledge of production engineering, project cost
estimations, tooling, aircraft component manufacturing & assembly processes, outsourcing,
manufacturing facilities, Programme Management, latest developments in the aircraft
manufacturing technologies quality procedures, AS9100B, Ground Support Equipments/
Ground Handling Equipments, aircraft materials is desirable.

b) Senior Manager (New Delhi / Bangalore)


The candidate should be a first class engineering graduate, preferably in the discipline of
Mechanical / Aeronautics / Industrial Production from recognized University/ Institution.
The incumbent should possess minimum requisite post qualification experience in an Aircraft
industry/Aircraft manufacturing industry. Experience in Marketing of Ground support and
Ground handling equipments, business development for aircraft tooling, component
manufacturing & assembly is essential. Knowledge of production engineering, project cost
estimations, tooling, aircraft component manufacturing & assembly processes, outsourcing,
manufacturing facilities, Programme Management, latest developments in the aircraft

VI. Executive (Finance)


The candidate(s) should be a graduate and possess a two years full time first class Post
Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Management / MBA with specialization in Finance from a
recognized University / Institution.
Candidate(s) should have minimum requisite post qualification executive experience in Finance
and Accounts in a large Engineering / Automobile Industry. Candidates with PSU work
experience, knowledge of Computer applications and / or exposure to ERP environment (SAPFICO) will be preferred.

Age, Qualification & Experience stipulated above should be as on 07.12.2011 i.e the last
date of submission of the application.
The upper age limit indicated above is for unreserved category. Reservation and age
relaxation for SC / ST / OBC (Non-creamy layer) will be as per the Govt. of India guide
lines. However, the upper age limit could be relaxed up to 55 years subject to equivalent
years of excess post qualification experience prescribed.
OBC candidates** are required to submit Other Backward Class Certificate ('NonCreamy Layer'*) (Certificate in the format as applicable for appointment to posts under
Government of India, is to be produced). OBC candidates are also required to furnish a
self-undertaking that they belong to OBC (Non Creamy Layer) by filling and signing a
self-undertaking.

are recognized as a backward class by the Government of India for the purpose of
reservation in services as per orders contained in Department of Personnel and

not be more than `.4.5 lakhs in last three consecutive years in line with DOPT
OM No.36033/3/2004-Estt.(Res) dated 14th October, 2008.']
Candidates employed in Government / Quasi-Government / PSU in addition to the ONLINE application, should send a hard copy of the same through proper channel or
produce NOC at the time of interview as on when called which is mandatory.
Management reserves the right to relax age, qualification and experience as also to
consider related qualification & experience in case of deserving/ exceptional candidates.
Exceptionally qualified and experienced candidates could be considered for higher start
& higher emoluments.
The candidates should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria and other norms
mentioned in the advertisement as on the specified dates and that the particulars
furnished are correct in all respect. In case, it is detected at any stage of the recruitment
process that a candidate doesnt fulfill the eligibility norms and/ or that he/ she has
furnished any incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material/ fact(s), his/
her candidature shall stand automatically cancelled. If any of the above shortcoming(s)
is/ are detected even after appointment, his/ her services are liable to be terminated
without notice.
Mere meeting the conditions of the advertisement by the candidate(s) will not
automatically entail them to be called for Test/ Interview/ Selection & Appointment.
Management reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates.
Candidates will have an option to answer/ reply in Hindi if so desired at the time of
interview.
Candidates are required to fill in all the columns furnishing the required details
correctly in the ON-LINE APPLICATION.
Intimation regarding interview etc will be sent only through e-mail / Company website.

Eligible and interested candidates (Not applicable for SC/ST/ PWDs) need to pay a fee of
`.100/- by downloading the challan available in the BEML website and by remitting the same
only in State Bank of India in the BEML Account no. 31006750220. Candidates applying for
multiple positions have to make separate payments for each of the positions.
The candidates are required to ON-LINE only which is mandatory by clicking the Apply ONLINE Link and after going through the prescribed guidelines and ensuring correctness of the
data entered in the portal / form. The last date for submission of application by on-line is
07.12.2011. Applications sent by post/ courier etc will not be accepted and will be summarily
rejected (Except in respect of candidates working in Government/ Quasi Government / PSU
etc) who are required to forward the additional print out of the application as stated at clause xii of the General Condition.
