SUPERVISOR/REVIEWER CHECKLIST
These are the Committee evaluation criteria. The review is based on the academic and students point of
view.
Criteria
Is it exciting? Has a good Scenario?
Is it applied in real life?
Is it linked to what is covered in the classroom?
Does it look professional (formatting/ references)?
Are any external sources referenced and the copied
percentage indicated? While it is welcomed to adopt
creative ideas from elsewhere they need to be
clearly referenced and credited. Additionally,
copyright and legal issues need to be considered.
Is all the required information available?
Is the grade distribution clear?
Does the project has at least three deliverables with
appropriate weight and academic benefit?
Is the faculty/students meetings clearly indicated in
the project document and linked to the deliverables?
Does the project weight reflect the amount of work
to be carried out?
Is it clear how the students will work in teams and
how each student will be assessed?
Plagiarism: can the student copy/obtain the work
from somewhere?
Are there any health and safety issues that need

COURSE PROJECT TEMPLATE GUIDELINES

INTRODUCTION

The Project component of the course is essential to passing this course. The project shows
competency in understanding and applying the course objectives and achieving the learning
outcomes. The project will allow you to use the information gained in the course to alleviate
potential motivational problems that could decrease employee motivation. It is expected that
each student fully and actively participate in the project as an effective team member. Each
group will consist of 3-5 members.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
1. Demonstrate an understanding of motivational psychology through
knowledge of motivational behavioral principles.
2. Demonstrate critical thinking skills necessary to critically assess actual
situations explaining human behavior.
3. Evaluate scientific studies with an understanding of what constitutes a
valid research method.
4. Demonstrate effective communication skills by reading primary and
secondary source material, discussing course content, and writing
papers.
5. Demonstrate understanding of the diverse assumptions and values
that motivate us and our behaviors.

PROJECT FILES
All files required for the completion of this project will be found on Moodle.

PROJECT SUMMARY (SCENARIO)

Your project will be a report/presentation to management of a local organization. You will


assume the role of consultants hired to address motivational issues. Your project will
illustrate application of motivational theory, and techniques to alleviate all motivation issues
at the company.

Below is an outline for how your final report should be organized. Each
report should be at least 5 pages not including cover page or any other
appendices. Each report should consist of three sections: Introduction,
methodology, and conclusion. The report should be coherent and wellwritten. The questions below simply provide a guide to what you should
include in each section, you may answer different questions if you like.

Introduction
o The Introduction section should provide a background of the
company.
What services or products do they provide?
Who is their target market?
Who are their competitors?
How are the services or products produced?
What motivational issues/problems is the company facing?

Methodology
o The Methodology section should explain how your study was
performed.

What motivational tools and techniques have been


successful in the past?
What motivational tools and techniques will you be
applying to address your case?

Conclusion: Discussion/Recommendations:
o The Conclusion section should explain how the results you found
answers the initial question you had.
What are the benefits of your proposed methods?
What hardships may you come across and how will you
work to minimize them?
What kind of changes do you expect the company to
experience once these recommendations take place?

DELIVERABLES & PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Deliverable 1: Outline of Report (proposal)

Will outline the topics that will be discussed in the report and asks questions
regarding the current status and ideal desires of the organization

Needs to include the questions that will be answered in the report


Needs to set up a structure that can be followed when writing the report and
planning the presentation

Deliverable 2: Interview Answers

Provides answers given by the persons interviewed at the organization.


These answers will serve as the basis from which your conclusions and your
recommendations will be made.

Deliverable 3a: Report

Will provide the details as to how you want to plan the motivational intervention
through recommendations regarding rules, rewards, accountability methods, etc.
Needs to follow the outline and org chart closely.

PLAGIARISM

Upon suspicion and doubt of the authenticity of the work submitted, the Instructor
has the right to ask the student to verify her/his work. This can be done through, but
not limited to, oral examination or discussion, or any other action deemed necessary.
If the student fails to prove the authenticity of the work, then the Instructor will apply
the academic misconduct rules as mentioned in the AUM Student Handbook which
may include awarding the work a zero grade.

You will also be held responsible if someone else copies your work - unless you can
demonstrate that you have taken reasonable precautions against copying.
