Benefiting from the funds raised by the event are the ‘Make-A-Wish Foundation of NH and the 500 Boys future wishes for other children and the Farmington S00 Boys and Girls Club hopes to use their proceeds, for a State-of-the-art, year-round batting and pitching facility at the new fields, Participating with Corey was Jayson Whitehouse also of Farmington wito waged his own battle with ‘eancer. Jayson coached a team, swapping teams with Corey halfway through. Governor John Lynch and Attorney General Kelly Ayotte played as well as many local radio and television celebrities, State Rep. Joe Kenney read a proclamation for the event, ‘The game was fast paced and entertaining as many of the typical rules were ignored all inthe name offun and a good cause. As for the winner. it was never really about scores. IN MEMORIAM Farmington residents were saddened to hear of Mr. Allan Drew's passing on July 22, 2006. ‘Mr. Drew was a true Farmington native who gave much of his time and effort 0 ‘our community. He was a veteran of World War I and was life member of the Post #60 American Legion in Farmington, holding many offices. He was also a member of the VEW and DAV as well as many fraternal ‘organizations. Hee also served in town government as 4 selectman from 1975-77 ‘Most folks recall Mr. Drew's many years as a volunteer, raising and lowering the American flag in the center of town.
