particular commodity
Simply obtain a quote on a particular commodity contract and note the format of that quote when placing
the actual order for that commodity.
The following error message may appear when placing an order:
Error, you must enter J2 or ZB or Y2, etc. instead of JY or US or EC, etc.
To resolve this error, simply use the Globex symbols instead of the open outcry symbols. MF Global requires
customers to trade CME Globex currencies, NYMEX Globex energies, COMEX Globex metals, CBOT Globex
grains and CBOT Globex bonds unless entering an option or a spread.

Using the Xpress Line

From the Order Entry screen: Users who are familiar with older typing order entry programs can use the
Xpress line to place an order, using the following format:
Transaction <space> quantity <space> contractmonthyear <space> price <space> order type
For example, to Buy 1 June mini S&P at 139175 LMT, type:
b 1 esm8 139175 lmt
When orders are entered correctly, the order fields above will automatically be filled in and a quote will
appear below the Xpress line.
