Acknowledgement
First of all,I would like to thank the God for giving me
blessings to complete this folio just in time.Even I faced
a lot of difficulties when doing this project,I managed to
overcome it by the Gods blessing. Then , let me thanks to

the principle of SMK St. Annes Convent Kulim , Puan

Hajah Radziah Bt Md Noh for allowing me to perform the
chemistry folio form 4 for the year 2015.
A big thank you also for my chemistry teacher, Mrs Ang
Kheer Sing, who has guided me throughout this folio
implement and also provided some information about the
topic that were required to be completed during the school
holidays from 20/11/2015 until 2/1/2016.
Next, i also thankful to my family and my friends who has
been supportive and help me to complete my folio
research.
Last but not least, I hope that I can learned more about
chemistry while doing this folio.

Objectives
The objectives of making this folio are mainly to
learned about manufactured substances in
industry . Therefore, I have done all I could to get
these objectives could be fulfilled. However , the
objectives are :

To understand the manufactured of sulphuric

acid.
To synthesis the manufactured of ammonia and
its salts.
To understands alloys.
To compare the difference of alloys and pure
metals .
To evaluate the uses of synthetic polymers
To determine the different types,composition,
properties,and uses of glass and ceramic.
To understand composite metals and evaluate
the uses.
To appreciate various synthetic industrial
materials.

Introduction
All the object that exist around us are made of
chemical substances. These objects exist as an
element , compound , or mixture. All these object
contribute benefits to humankind . Nowdays, human
has done many research to ensure all these
chemical substances will be enough to use by us.

Chapter 9 in form 4 syllabus introduces the students

about manufactured substances in industry. This
is important for the students to appreciate the
knowledge of chemistry that is still new for
themselves. Personally , I think that this chapter is a
good chapter as it revealed the way of scientist
produces the material around me. It also gives me
more info about the uses of chemical substances
that I recently found in the laboratories.
I hope by learning this chapter, I will be more
interested in learning chemistry as it will help me in
the future.
