REGULATIONS & TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Security and prevention regulations


You will find here, the security rules - to be applied in the exhibition halls against fire and panic in the buildings open to the public.
The Security Commission - which visit the set-up the day before or the
morning of the opening of the event - survey the realization of stands
(stability, construction materials, decorations, electric installations,...).
All stand installations must be terminated by the time of the inspection visit.
The exhibitor or representative must be present.
All plans and technical informations must be reported to the organizers of the
show one month before the opening of the event for approval of the person in

37 I FIRE PROOFING
The guaranteed of classification of fire resistance used in the stand, must be
supplied to the person in charge of the security of the show, by quality labels,
official reports or certificates.
Fire proofing materials can be obtained to:

Important: Only official reports from French qualified laboratories will be
accepted.

M0 or European A standards: Fireproof

38 I ELECTRICITY

M1 or European B standards: Flame retardant

Electric equipment of every stand should be protected from excess and earth
fault current. All metal masses must be connected and also related to the
earth connection panel of the stand. All current connections should be placed
inside derivation boxes.

M2 or European C standards: Flameproof


M3 or European D standards: Moderately inflammable
M4 or European E standards: Highly inflammable

36 I STAND CONSTRUCTION AND FITTING-OUT


36.1 - Framework, partition walls and bulky stand furnitures
Are allowed for the construction of the framework (cases, shelves, counter...)
and partition of stands, all materials class M0 (fire proof), M1, M2 ou M3 (1).
NB: the panels of wood or similar are considered class M3.
Attention: It is forbidden to place any equipment over passage (structural or
identification band, gangway...).
36.2 - Wall coating (except of specific stands of artistic interior decoration)
The wall coating must be materials M0, M1, M2 (1).
Equipments such as tissue, papers, plastic film can be used and glued on to
support made of materials M0, M1, M2 or M3.
36.3 - Curtains
All curtains, muslins may be hanging loose if they are qualifying M0, M1 or
M2(1). However they are not allowed on entry and exits of the stand.
36.4 - Coating of floors
Any coating of floors must be of material M4 and solidly fixed.
36.5 - Furnitures
Ordering furniture is allowed (tables, chairs...), but counters, shelves...must
be built of material M3 (1).
36.6 - Decoration items
The use of publicity panels in white letters on green background is forbidden.
36.7 - Floral decorations (excepted for event and specific stand regarding
floral activities).
Floral decorations made out of synthetic materials must be limited. In case of
large number of decorations only material M2 is authorized.
36.8 - Ceilings
The ceilings, false ceiling, awning must have a surface limited at 299sqm.
36.9 - Awnings
In non-equipped buildings (with an automatic water extinguisher), they must
be made of material M0 or M1. If not, awnings must be in materials M0, M1or
M2(1) .

38.1 - Electric appliance


The electric appliance classified 0 (1), must be protected by a device for
nominal decompounded current equal to 30 mA maximum. Electric appliance
classified in category I (1), should be connected to the protection conductor of
supply lines. Class II (1), must have the sign:

38.2 - Electric cables


Use only cables which each wire conductor (minimum section: 1.5 mm) must
have their own cable covering, all wire conductors must have a common
protection covering.
Important: The use of cables H-03-VHH (scindex) is forbidden.
38.3 - Multiple plugs
Only are authorized socket adapters or multiple cases from a fix adapter
(multiple plugs mold).
38.4 - Halogen lamps
Lighting must be fixed solidly a placed at a minimum height of 2.25 meters,
a placed away from all inflammable materials (0.50 meter minimum). They
must be fitted with a safety screen (glass or fine tin mesh grid).
38.5 - high voltage installation
The high voltage installation of lighting must be protected by a screen made of
classified material M3 minimum. The power cut off must be clearly indicated
and transformers positioned in a place that is in no danger for the public.

39 I EMERGENCY RESSOURCES
The emergency devices, fire plugs with hose and spout, extinguishers, phones
must be clearly seen and their access always free.
NB: a passage of 1 meter next to the fire plug must be free from all materials
right up to the public gangway. It is strictly forbidden to cover up the
emergency devices.

40 I STORAGE
It is forbidden to store - in the stands or free passage close to stand - boxes,
paper, wood

41 I RAISED LEVEL FLOOR
The norm NF P60-001 stipulates that raised levels must resist to:
- 250 kg/sqm for floors up to 50sqm.
- 350 kg/sqm for floors over 50sqm.
The maximum surface of a floor is 300 m. Only one raised level is allowed.

42 I HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBILITY MEASURES

Regulations: Decree of 1 August 2006 laying down provisions for the application
of Articles R. 111-19 to R. 111-19-3 and R. 111-19-6 of the Code of Construction
and Housing for the disabled access to public buildings and facilities open to
the public during construction or creation NOR: SOCU0611478A.
42.1 - Stalls:
Pursuant to Article 8 of GN safety regulations in force, all stands must be
visited by the disabled.
All booths on the floor more than 2 cm should include an inclined slope (ramp)
complying with accessibility requirements next 5% over 10 m, 8% over 2 m
and 10% over 0.50 m.
Circulation Home must have a minimum width of 1.40 m accessible walk free
from obstacles so as to facilitate crossings. When narrowing point cannot be
avoided, the minimum width of the path may, on a short length to be between
1.20 m and 1.40 m to retain the possibility of cross between a pedestrian and
a wheelchair stock.

Soil (surface), The ground or floor of the accessible path must be nonmovable, non-slip, non-reflective and unobstructed to the wheel, they must
show no jump greater than 2 cm.
42.2 - Area restaurants:
The layout of dining areas will meet the following guidelines: Aisles between
the tables of 1.40 m.
Predict the development of sites with disabilities on the basis of 2 for top 50
increased by 1 per ED50 seats.
These locations will be as close as possible to an exit or a circulation leading
to an emergency exit.

43 I USE OF SOUND ON A STAND


When using sound (music) significant, the exhibitor will apply for authorization
from the organizer to provide a control mute when activated general alarm
fire.

44 I USE OF MACHINES IN OPERATION on a stand


A statement (form attached) said machine operation should be directed to
the safety manager and copied to the organizer at least one month before the
opening of the event.
