Get set for a day of fun and laughter. This morning we are treated to a deep-dish pizza-making
class, where each person will make their own pizza. We will each shape the dough in an UNO

creations for lunch with a salad and a beverage - and we will also take home the recipe to
make it again for friends and family. This afternoon we visit Saturday Night Live - The
Exhibition, a museum-like experience that promises fans some behind-the-scenes
experiences for one of NBCs longest-running series, including original scripts, set pieces,
props, costumes, masks and interactive elements of favorite sketches through the years. For
anyone who has ever wanted to take a dip in James Browns celebrity hot tub or hang in the
basement with Wayne and Garth, this will probably be the closest most of us will get. We have all watched SNL from homenow
relive 40 years of the show in a way you never imagined. Become immersed in the fast-paced creative process and see how ideas
become reality in just days. Interact with sets, original props, and costumes, take selfies on the Jeopardy set, rock out on the

Pilates, Yoga & Floor Barre

Lynn Needle & AOM Faculty

These classes incorporate Eastern and Western philosophies to work the body in its entirety. Yoga, (eastern) integrates asanas,
proper alignment, mental focus, breathing and flexibility as well as learning to stabilize and strengthen muscle groups. Western
disciplines, such as Pilates and floor barre exercises seek to maximize understanding, endurance and toning of the body. Mat
work designed by Joseph Pilates at the turn of the century emphasizes principles of opposition, lengthening of muscle groups
and isolation of body parts. Classes vary from mat classes to ball class, which includes center floor work on a large Pilates
stability ball. Therabands and yoga bricks are used as teaching tools. Mat work is eventually taught at the ballet barre and
developed into standing work. Floor barre exercises include simple plies, leg extensions, hip and abdominal isolations as well
as a back strengthening series. Classes focus on strengthening the body as an instrument. Please bring a yoga mat and wear
comfortable clothing. Some classes may feature guest faculty from AOM and NYC.

This course is designed to acquaint individuals with the value
of a professionally drawn will, the necessity of a financial
power of attorney and the key provisions of a living
will/medical power of attorney. Seniors are also often totally
unaware of taxes that may be due to the state of NJ or the
federal government on their death. They are unaware that NJ
has the highest death taxes in any state in the country. Most
elders believe that estate taxes are being phased out and are
of no concern. Few know about the new estate tax New
Jersey Adopted in July of 2002. This tax is imposed on estates
larger than $675,000. New Jersey also has an inheritance tax
that can be as high as 16%. This tax is imposed on the
estates of people who have no spouse or children and leave
the money to other family members or friends. Methods to
reduce these taxes as well as the pros and cons of gifts and

Creating Fine Silver Jewelry

Terry Kovalcik
This beginner's workshop will explore the seemingly endless
possibilities of creating silver jewelry with Precious Metal Clay.
It will introduce you to the different types of PMC (lump, sheet
and paste) in an easy step-by-step format. Topics covered will
include: working with the clay, creating forms, carving, molding,
texturing, firing, oxidizing, and polishing. Participants will
explore these techniques with an eye toward finding their own
voice and style through a choice of projects - pendants, hollow
forms, decorative beads, constructed forms and earrings. PMC
is a unique jewelry making material. This user-friendly product
is a malleable substance that is composed of fine silver
particles in an organic binder. It can be sculpted and
manipulated like potter's clay. After firing in a kiln, all that is left
is your unique design in pure (.999) silver. Materials fee* is
payable directly to instructor at class.
*Depends on price of silver Please note: Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is
based on the market price of silver which fluctuates daily. Due to the
continuing rise in the price of the silver, the price listed here may not
accurately reflect the current price of the material. Prices may end up
being higher or lower. At the time of this printing, the cost of PMC

Singing Bowls for

Healing & Relaxation

NEW!

Maryann Gebhardt & Joan Tarrant

Singing bowls are used in yoga, music
therapy, and sound healing. They are
also played to signal the beginning and
the end of silent meditation. Like a bell,
the tone is produced by striking the side
of the bowl with a wooden mallet. By
running the mallet around the bowl only with slight pressure - a pure tone
will eventually rise. When this happens,
the bowl is said to sing. Tibetan
singing bowls vibrate and produce a
deep relaxation, the singing bowls are
also used in combination with other
healing practices, such as meditation
and deep breathing. This class will be
deeply relaxing, starting with gentle yoga
stretches, followed by listening to the
healing tones of the bowls. More
information about the bowls will be
discussed. Mary Ann & Joan will have
over 50 singing bowls. Bring a yoga mat
and a blanket to cover up with.

Mary Lee Costello

Why include weightbearing activity with
an already unique,
stimulating calorieburning Zumba
class? Besides the
step-by-step instruction
using every muscle in
your body, you will
learn how to build
bone density and
strength by working

will harmonize spirit, mind and body.

We will pay close attention to breath
and detail in working toward safely
entering and exiting all yoga postures.
Full practice begins with Pranayama
(breathing exercises) slowly opening
up the body and lungs to receive the
breath followed by a nourishing asana
(posture) practice to saturate and
awaken the organ body. Toward the
end of the class, the yoga practice will
be sealed with breath awareness and
meditation. Meditation, breath
awareness (restorative) and pranayama
all work together to create an INbody
experience. Students will learn to stay
connected and be aware of their
physical body at all times. Pias class
will motivate, guide and nurture you
every step of the way, working towards
making the INbody experience as
graceful and fluid as possible. The
physical postures that we practice will
help to cleanse the nadis (energy
channels in the body). This practice
can assist with improving your
meditation, which ultimately connects
mind with spirit and will help the body
in clearing or cleansing stressors. This
can then activate a state of harmony
with spirit, mind and body which will
improve calmness by creating peace
within the self. This class can help
you positively improve your health and
wellbeing and will add quality to your
everyday life experiences. Please bring

American Baseball in Cuba

NEW!
Rick Feingold
Join us for a lecture about baseball in Cuba covering these
interesting facts and stories. The American Series against
Major League opponents in Cuba began in 1890 and continued
until 1959. Babe Ruth visited Havana in 1920 after his 54
home run season with the Yankees and lost a fortune gambling
in the casinos. Jackie Robinson played spring training in Cuba
prior to breaking baseballs color line with the Brooklyn
Dodgers during the historic 1947 season. Ty Cobb and Christy
Mathewson played baseball games in Cuba. So did Negro
League Baseball stars Oscar Charleston and John Pop Lloyd.
In fact, an All-Star team of Negro League players played an
historic series against a Cuban team comprised of future
Cuban Hall of Famers in 1925. After a night of drinking the
writer Ernest Hemingway engaged the Brooklyn Dodgers Hugh
Casey in a boxing match at his Havana home. Rick Feingold
presented this lecture as part of the Cooperstown Symposium
on Baseball and American Culture at the National Baseball Hall

Mastering the
Horror Story

Joe Rosario
Horror has been one of the staples of
the film industry ever since the
medium was invented. Perhaps that's
because the genre taps into our most
primal fears (isolation, the unknown,
and death) in a visual, visceral way. But
at the same time that we're frightened
out of our wits, we are granted the
safety and protection of the theater.
It's the best of all possible worlds. For
producers, making horror movies is a
no-brainer: intelligently written horror
costs very little to make, crosses
language barriers, and consistently
makes money. Five of the 15 most
profitable films of all time (by ROI) are
horror: Paranormal Activity, The Blair
Witch Project, Night of the Living
Dead, Halloween, Friday the 13th, and
Open Water. This genre is truly a
writer's medium: if you can present a
new version of an old concept and
scare us on the page, your script can
sell. Plus, there is always room for
innovation and creativity within the
field. You will learn how to develop
genuinely shocking plot twists, create
never-before-seen scares and set
pieces, write fully realized,
multidimensional characters, gradually
build up to the big reveal and write an
awe-inspiring action and witty
dialogue.

Find out the answer to this question with this four week workshop. You wont just
find out the answer, you will write your essays! Why this class? Because Lisa speaks
with many admissions officers at various colleges and universities and she
understands what they are looking for in the application essays. She knows how to
guide you to pick a topic and hook your reader and she will encourage you to write
an essay in a concise, crisp and clear way so it will stand out. She teaches you
to SHOW who you arenot just tell who you are. The four, two hour sessions
involve techniques and strategies for brainstorming and writing. Youll learn tips,
have discussions, ask questions and receive feedback. You will get insights into how
to answer the prompts. You will write during class, but it is expected that you will
also write between classes. The course fee includes back and forth emails of your
essay drafts (after you send a draft, Lisa reads the essay, re-reads it, creates
questions and offers feedback as needed. She then sends it back. You will make
changes/additions, etc. and then send it back to Lisa. She will suggest when its
ready to submit). The only way to discover your true story is through your revisions.
Drafts must sent to the instructor in a timely fashion. Deadlines will be set with all
students. The goal is to finish the Common Application essay and one supplemental
essay that will differentiate you in a deeply personal way. Visit writethisway.biz to
