OUR VISION
ABOUT US
2016 YG ROMM:
Rationale
Biblical Rationale for YGs Mission
According to Scriptures, we have been given a ministry of reconciliation [2Corinthians 5:11-21], in which we endeavor
to live out His Great Commandment [Matthew 22:34-40] and fulfill His Great Commission [Matthew 28:16-20].
Younger Generation Churchs [YG] mission is built on the imperatives Christ expressed in these Scriptures.
YG Mission
As the vibrant young adult ministry of the Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church, YGs mission is to deepen our

Objective
YG Vision
Undergirded by YGs mission, our objective aims to disciple deeply devoted Christ-followers inspired by this vision:
In this new decade of Younger Generation Church,
we aspire to overflow Jesus Christ beyond our four walls
blessing our community, transforming our world.
Correlation to Arlington Adventist Churchs Values
Further exploration of YGs mission offers insights as to our young adult ministrys objective to embody the values of
our church. Here is a limited set of examples:
INTIMACY with God
Jesus First Always: YGs worship experience is first and foremost Christocentric.
Bring the Word to Life: In corporate worship, personal devotions, and small group study, the Bible is the primary Source for
instruction, insight, and inspiration.
COMMUNITY with Each Other
Grow Leaders: Every member of YG is called to pour GODs grace and goodness into the next generation.
Distinctive & Unique/Diverse Yet United: We embrace the rich tapestry of our diversity and live out love beyond Sabbath
mornings.
Inspiring those around us with the hope of GRACE
Build a Community that Serves: Volunteering is our honor. Service is our culture because we follow Jesus.
Honor Christ with our Best: We believe Jesus deserves excellence; We aspire to give, serve, offer Him glory as we relate to
the most and the least of these.

Measurement
Program Evaluation
Upon the completion of major ministry events [i.e. GODencounters Conference], we distribute and analyze program
evaluation forms as part of a debriefing process. This enables us to refine our effectiveness and affirm our wins.
360 Interviews
At the end of the year, I conduct private interviews with our lead team members affording for our evaluation of their
ministry performance, additionally listening to their evaluation of my performance as teaching pastor.
Quantitative Church Statistics
Typical church data trends in attendance, giving, etc. afford some information as to the status of a ministry.
Pastoral Report
Annually, I try to provide the pastoral staff and the conference leadership an overview of our ministry, opening
opportunity for assessment and consultation.
