Rationale
Biblical Rationale for YGs Mission
According to Scriptures, we have been given a ministry of reconciliation [2Corinthians 5:11-21], in which we endeavor
to live out His Great Commandment [Matthew 22:34-40] and fulfill His Great Commission [Matthew 28:16-20].
Younger Generation Churchs [YG] mission is built on the imperatives Christ expressed in these Scriptures.

Notable Methodological Watermarks

2014
Provided Barna Group and North American Division with consultation for young adult ministry research.
Provided young adult ministry training for the Texas Conference, Southwestern Union, and North American
Division [i.e. Adventist Ministry Convention, Southwestern Union Equipped for Ministries Convention].
Heightened efforts to develop collegiate leadership, young adult leadership, and ministry leadership [i.e. Passion
Conference & Catalyst Conference].
Celebrated ten-year anniversary of ministry.
2015
Provided leadership and support to One Year In Mission San Antonio, Impact San Antonio, and 60th General
Conference Session of Seventh-day Adventists.
As part of #YGOverflow, provided mentorship and support to other young adult ministries including: Elevate
Ministries, Pursuit, Renew, Arizona Conference, and New Jersey Conference.
Launched YG University to provide young adult ministry resourcing to local churches and ministry leaders.
Developed and supported an all-campus, all age, intergenerational evangelistic initiative: Revelation
101/GODencounters/Epic Hero Week of Prayer
Measurement
Program Evaluation
Upon the completion of major ministry events [i.e. GODencounters Conference], we distribute and analyze program
evaluation forms as part of a debriefing process. This enables us to refine our effectiveness and affirm our wins.
360 Interviews
At the end of the year, I conduct private interviews with our lead team members affording for our evaluation of their
ministry performance, additionally listening to their evaluation of my performance as teaching pastor.
Quantitative Church Statistics
Typical church data trends in attendance, giving, etc. afford some information as to the status of a ministry.
Pastoral Report
Annually, I try to provide the pastoral staff and the conference leadership an overview of our ministry, opening
opportunity for assessment and consultation.
