The objectives of the lecture


1. Knowledge of the human body developmental stages and anomalies
2. Knowledge of the human body structures, their organization in systems and in
between relations
3. Anatomo-functional correlations regarding the human body structures
4. Anatomical exploration of the human body structures, applied anatomy and clinical
correlations
Lecture contents - syllabus 28 hours
1. Introduction in the study of anatomy. History of anatomy. Anatomy in Romania.
Introduction in the regional and applied anatomy (2 hours). Generalities about bones,
muscles, vessels and nerves (2 hours).
2. Generalities about joints. Functional organization of the joints of upper limbs (2
hours).
3. Functional organization of the joints of lower limbs (2 hours).
4. Developmental anatomy: general principles, ontogenesis stages. Gametogenesis in
male (2 hours).
5. Gametogenesis in female (2 hours).
6. The first week of embryonic life (2 hours).
7. The second week of embryonic life (2 hours).
8. The third weeke of embryonic life (2 hours).
9. The fourth week of embryonic life. The fifths and sixths weeks of embryonic life (2

hours).
10. Developmental anatomy of human fetuses (2 hours).
11. Embryofetal annexes (2 hours).
12. Development of the limbs musculoskeletal system and of the vertebral column (2
hours).
13. Clinical anatomy of the upper limb (2 hours).
14. Clinical anatomy of the lower limb (2 hours).
Content of seminar / laboratory - Syllabus 63 hours
1. The vertebral column. The ribs. The sternum. The scapula. The clavicle. (4 hours)
2. The humerus. The ulna. The radius. The carpal and metacarpal bones and the phalanges
(4 hours).
3. The hip bone. The femur. The patella. The tibia. The fibula. The tarsal and metatarsal
bones, the phalanges (4 hours).
4. The shoulder: surface anatomy, limits, layers. The shoulder: fascias, muscles and
shoulder joints (4 hours).
5. The shoulder: blood and nerve supply. Arm and elbow: surface anatomy, regional limits,
layers, fascias, muscles and elbow joint. (4 hours).
6. Arm and elbow: blood and nerve supply. Forearm and wrist: surface anatomy, regional
limits, layers. (4 hours).
7. Forearm and wrist: fascias, muscles and joints. Forearm and wrist: blood and nerve
supply. Projections and dissections. (4 hours)
8. Hand: surface anatomy, regional limits, layers, fascias, muscles and joints. The hand:
blood and nerve supply. Projections and dissections. (5 hours).
9. The hip region: surface anatomy, limits, layers, fascias, muscles and coxofemural joint. (5
hours).The hip region: blood and nerve supply. Projections and dissections. The tight:
surface anatomy, regional limits layers. (5 hours).
10. The tight: fascias and muscles. The tight: blood and nerve supply. Projections and
dissections. (5 hours).
11. The knee: surface anatomy, regional limits, layers, fascias, muscles and knee joint. The
leg and the ankle: surface anatomy, regional limits, layers. (5 hours).
12. The leg and the ankle: fascias, muscles and ankle joint. Leg and ankle: blood and nerve
supply. Projections and dissections. (5 hours).
13. The foot: surface anatomy, regional limits, layers. The foot: fascias, muscles and joints. (5

COMPETENCIES
1. Anatomical exploration of the vertebral column with identification of general, regional
and individual features of the vertebrae. Learning the technique of counting vertebrae.
2. Learning the technique of palpation and anatomical details identification in the upper and
lower limb structural systems (osseous, musculofascial, vascular, lymphatic and nervous
systems)
3. Anatomical and imagistic exploration of bones and limb joints
4. Anatomical exploration and identification of nervous plexuses trunks, cords and branches
distributing to the limbs.
5. Projections and neurovascular dissections in upper and lower limbs. Sensing the arterial
pulse.
6. Exploring the layers of upper and lower limb regions.
