Gopal Krishna Nayak

Dr. Gopal Krishna Nayak, Professor of Information Systems at XIMB. He is currently the director
of IIIT Bhubaneswar. Prof. Nayak is an electrical engineer from IIT Kharagpur with a Masters in
Business Administration (MBA) from IIM Bangalore. He has done his PhD from IIT Kharagpur under
the guidance of Prof. Damodar Acharya who was the Vice-Chancellor of BPUT, Chairman
of AICTEand the Director of IIT Kharagpur.
He has worked in companies such as Nelco, Mumbal and NTPC Delhi in fields of Power Electronics
Design and Supply Chain Management respectively. He joined XIMB soon after finishing MBA
from IIM Bangalore. He taught subjects in Information Systems, Operations Management and
Quantitative Analysis. He was responsible for giving a technology focus to the curriculum at XIMB.
He held positions of Dean (Academics), Admissions Coordinator, Computing Services Coordinator
etc.
When the IIIT in Bhubaneswar started in 2007. He was invited to be the first Director of the Institute.
Under his stewardship, this Institute has been growing rapidly in terms of Infrastructure,
Programmes being offered and Research. Presently he is the Director of IIIT Bhubaneswar.
He is also an advisor to the Government of Odisha on all e-Governance projects and advisor to the
Treasury, Commercial Taxes, IDCO, BDA and many other Odisha Government Initiatives.

Dr Jibitesh Mishra is currently Head of the Department of Information Technology,

College of Engineering & Technology, a constituent college of Biju Patnaik University of
Technology, Orissa. He has more than 16 years of teaching experience in various
universities throughout the world. He has published many books of repute. His first book
Design of Information System: A Modern Approach, was published in India, UK and
China in the year 2000. His research interests are Fractal Graphics and Web
Engineering. He has published many research papers in international journals &
conference proceedings.

Dr.Bijan Bihari Misra

Bijan Bihari Misra is currently working as Dean (Research) at Silicon Institute of Technology,
Bhubaneswar, India. He received Bachelor degree from Kanpur University, India in 1984, Master of
Technology in Computer Science from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, India in 2002 and Ph.D. in
Engineering from Biju Pattanaik University of Technology, Rourkela, India, in 2011. His areas of interests
include Data Mining, Sensor Network, Bioinformatics, Evolutionary Computation, Bio-inspired
Computation and Computational Intelligence. He has published one book, three book chapters and fifty
six papers in different journals and conferences of National and International repute. He has been a key
note speaker and session chair of different national and international conferences.
