Description

This one-hour course takes an in-depth look at the ImPACT clinical


report by focusing on a number of cases that illustrate specific aspects
of test performance. The cases will focus on multiple concussion
clinical trajectories and their treatment. This course includes 50
minutes of presentation followed by 10 minutes of Q&A.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

Discuss how clinical management, treatment, rehabilitation


decisions are dictated by the clinical trajectories.

Examine clinical case data specific to the trajectories.

Discuss the role of the clinical interview, vestibular-ocular


screening and computerized neurocognitive testing in the
assessment of sports-related mTBI.

ImPACT fewer than three (3) calendar days in advance of the
workshop, you may reschedule to participate in another event of
equal or lesser value or substitute someone in your place, but you
cannot receive a refund. All cancellations and refund requests
must be submitted by the purchaser to lmPACT Applications, Inc.
and emailed to training@impacttest.com.

Completion Policy

Learners must view the course in its entirety to be issued a


statement of credit.

Continuing Education Credits


Athletic Trainers

ImPACT Applications, Inc. is recognized by the Board of


Certification, Inc. to offer continuing education for Certified Athletic
Trainers. This program has been approved for a maximum 1.00
hours of Category A continuing education. Certified Athletic
Trainers are responsible for claiming only those hours actually
spent participating in the continuing education activity.

Physical Therapists

At this time ImPACT is not able to offer pre-approved continuing


education credits to physical therapists for this course. You will
receive a certificate of attendance for each of our courses with
contact hours listed. Review your state laws to determine if this
training can be applied toward continuing education without
pre-approval.

Physicians

At this time, ImPACT is not able to offer AMA PRA Category 1


Credits. You will receive a certificate of attendance for each of our
courses with contact hours listed. Review your local, state, and
national Medical Society laws to determine if this training can be

Other Healthcare
Professions

At this time ImPACT is not able to offer continuing education


credits to occupational therapists, psychologists, registered
nurses, or other healthcare professionals. We are in the process
of applying to be able to offer credits to as many disciplines as
possible and hope to have the ability to offer credits at future
training events.

G-7: Clinical Trajectories: Case Reviews

Erin Reynolds, PsyD

Dr. Reynolds serves as Fellowship Director for the UPMC Sports


Concussion Program and is an Assistant Professor in the Department
of Orthopaedic Surgery. Prior to joining the UPMC Sports Concussion
Program in July 2012, she completed her Bachelors degree in
psychology at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and earned
her Masters and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the
Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Reynolds also
completed an APA-accredited internship in neuropsychology, as well as
a two-year, APA-accredited postdoctoral residency in neuropsychology
at the Bedford Veterans Administration Medical Center (Bedford VAMC)
in Bedford, Massachusetts. Currently, Dr. Reynolds treats youth, high
school, collegiate, and professional level athletes and is involved in
ongoing research projects within the UPMC Sports Concussion
Program. Dr. Reynolds is a frequent invited lecturer on the topic of
sport-related concussion at local, as well as national meetings.
