Purpose
The requirement in this document will help to keep on time and schedule my project, we can
plan our project more accurately with these requirements outlined and help put each phase into
prospective.

Why this project is needed?

In the simulated case of migration data a VMware vCloud Director data centres in a research
facility i.e. Fermilab in the USA to Cern lab in Switzerland.
I want to research how to migrate large data (private and personal data from people) from a
separate data centre and to do it securely (with certificates and encryption). The reason for it,
would be that doing computations on this data needs to be in the local network cant be doing
in the server and cant be doing in the original data information because this data is private
its protect from the law (confidential) reason that it need to be done locally, need to copy from
the original and send to another point to be analysed and for that reason the migration needs
to be secure, the bandwidth is 50 megabytes, 10 terabytes needs to be move (spreadsheet excel)

from one point to the another one (in the demo I wont migrate 10 terabytes will be a few data
to show the process)
To do a migration between Fermilab and Cern and those labs have two cloud data centres
running VMware vCloud director

What will the finished project will be?

Will be a migration between the vCloud Director platforms to see how is working an migration
between them to do a local data analysis, because the data is about people and the law
protected that and you cant manipulate the original, you have to copy, migrate and do
analysis.

Access to the vCloud director interface with a password to manage the system

And after that you will see the interface page to manage the cloud resources like vSphere
resources(vCenter, Resource Pools, Hosts, Datastores, Switches & Ports), Cloud
Resources(Cloud Cells, Provider vDCs, Organitation vDCs, External Network, Organization
Network, Network Pools) and Logs

Here the vCenter interface to manage the VMs, where you can create, copy, clone, migrate
VMs in the data centre.
