Event: Junkyard wars

The Goal:
To design and make the best possible solution of the given problem by using the provided
junk.

Event details:
1. Construction of the best possible solution of the given problem by using the
provided junk.
2. The problem statement will be given on the spot.
3. The participants will be asked to design an autonomous mechanical bot which can
satisfy the problem statement.
4. The time to be given is 3+1 hrs. 3Hrs to design and construct your bot and rest 1hr
to bind up.
5. The junk provided by the oragnisers will contain almost all possible solutions.
6. The event is all about creativity. Participants are supposed to construct their bot by
the provided junk only.

Arena:
The arena will be shown at the time of the event along with the problem statement.
Rules:

General rules:
1. Bot could be of absolutely any shape satisfying the given constraints
2. The participants are not at all allowed to use any material carried by themselves.
3. If the bot fails to satisfy any of the given constraints then it will be summarily rejected.
4. Any team that is not ready at the time specified will be disqualified immediately.
5. Judges' decision shall be final and binding on all.
6. The organizers reserve all rights to change any or all of the above rules as they
deem fit. Change in rules, if any will be conveyed properly.

Team specifications:
A team may consist of a maximum of 3 members. Students from different branches or
courses can form a Team.

Compliance:
At check-in, event Organizers will evaluate each bot. bots will be measured, and
reviewed for compliance with rules regarding materials. If a bot does not comply with any
of the rules,
1. bots that are completed but do not meet the construction guidelines will be given a
chance to make any necessary alterations.
2. No alterations will be allowed unless deemed necessary by the Judges. If such
alterations are required, the team will be allowed fifteen (15) minutes to complete
them. The decisions of the Organizers are final.
Testing:

Round 1
1. The bots will be checked by the organizers regarding clearance and material constraints.
2. The bots if containing forign material(not provided in the junk) will be rejected.

The bot satisfying all the conditions of round 1 will be allowed for round 2.

Round 2
1. the bot will be asked to move over the arena by itself as it shoud be autonomous.
2. The bot then will be asked to perform the task as per the problem statement.
3. The testing of the bot will include the accuracy and spontanity.

Definition of Failure
1. Bot fails to satisfy any of the constraints specified above.
2. Bot breaks at any joint or is not in a condition to perform the task.

Judging criteria
Scoring for Round 1:
1. Round 1 carries 10 marks.
2. The marks will be awarded on the basis of appearance & good handicraft.
Scoring for Round 2:
1 . A best team clearing all the criteria of second round can gain a maximum of 80
points. The best team with highest score will be declared winner.
